My work shoes have started to go festy but are still in good condition. I don't want to buy new shoes so what's an awesome deodorizer I can use to take the stench away?
They are black leather plus I also wouldn't mind giving my sneakers a bit of a how's your father with the stuff as well. Preferably something from a shoe shop or supermarket. I don't wanna have to order something off the net. Thanx! |

I was under the impression most of QGL own more shoes then the average rich mail order bride (well, the way some where carrying on in that shoes thread anyway... haha) thus they wouldn't have had to deal with shoe odour :D

First, try removing the existing inner sole and replacing with a new one. The smell comes from bacteria resident in the material of the inner itself.
Just placing a powder on it to mask or kill the smell still doesn't detract from the dead skin cells and other assorted fest in there acting as a home for bacteria to breed. |

Baby powder before you put ur socks on ?
I hate shoes. Try to wear sandals everywhere. Used to use Massuese Sandals until they started making them in China. They fall apart after a couple of months so now i wear sandals made of leather that strap around the back of the foot. Awesome. got them from Harris Scarfe. |

I checked at Coles yesterday and they only had those foam soles so I bought them to try and they seemed to have cut down the smell a bit but I'll keep looking for something better. Thanx guys.

Make sure they air out each night before you wear them again.
If I wear the same shoes for the full working week, it's not pretty. No amount of creams or powders gets rid of it. I just had to circulate my shoes. Haven't had the problem since leaving real work :D |
