My desk has like absorbed the cat piss (it was there all night while I was sleeping)

So this cat piss smell is pretty much with my desk forever.

Don't do it it's a trap.

Piss on it yourself and reclaim your territory.

Cat urine is particularly potent. Just a small amount of it will stink up the room for a long time.

You keyboard is toast. There are products and techniques that help lift the urine smell out, but they will probably kill your keyboard.

You best bet is to try and mask it with a stronger smelling substance.

I think your cat was trying to give you the hint that your desk sucks and you need a new one. Your g15 was just an unfortunate victim of friendly fire, but you know how it goes ... to bake a cake you gotta crack a few eggs.

BTW Arm and Hammer baking soda is pretty decent for absorbing bad smells and Moth balls are good for masking bad smells. Just a thought.

Take as many elements of your keyboard apart and leave them in the sun for a few days. Same goes for anything else you can pick up. Sunlight deactivates the compound that smells feral.

There are compounds that you can buy from the vet that will help breakdown cat-pee smell.

Pee on the cat, it won't fix the smell but at least you might feel a little better.

yer definately take all your keys out, soak em in metho and leave the keys/board in the sun for a week.

Took all the keys off and soaked them in this anti-odour soap s*** which seems to have done the trick. Now the only place that still stinks is my desk, but I've let some metho soak into it which seemed to work fairly well.


Cat was on top of my cupboard when I fell asleep so I didn't know she was in here. Woke up at 4am to her meowing at the door with cat piss in the air.
