Looks like they're still competing with the success of the QUT ads. I quite like these - shows the diversity of UQ life and how fun it can be (there really is a f***load on offer if you have the cash monies). I guess they don't need to worry about advertising what you can actually study?

As an aside, I was there when they filmed the aerial shots of the campus - fkn helicopter flying close to the ground for an hour got pretty annoying. I also dodged cameras for all those crowd scenes from market day.

You think you dodged the camera but I can see many shirtless people walking around Billy and one of them will be you.

initial thoughts. boring and too long. too much obvious token multicultural crap, not enough asians, they make up the bulk of UQ.

That's more like it, they should show lots of people hiking from one end of the uni to the other, people getting frustrated by sinet, and a toga party.

Having said that I have commited the crime of working on some of these UQ ads, although nobody really gets any say in what's in them except some committee at UQ.

If you're at QUT on the days they pray and 300+ of them gather, every single bathroom all over QUT has 20+ arabs in it washing there feet, water all over the ground, dirty grubs sticking there feet under taps.

It's sickening.

They're wanky in the extreme.

I went to the brand launch for work and had to sit through variations of that ad FIVE times. My soul died a little more each time.

They did, however, provide us with roughly 1.5 minutes of entertainment when my colleague entered his name as Felchboy on youruq.com and I got a free travel mug with the new "UQ device" on it. Minor win in the face of a major fail.
