As theres a few other TV ep thread I thought I'd ask are any of you guys still watching this crap?

I am seriously about to give up on it... the last maybe 5 episodes have been complete rubbish.

99% emo and 1% action.

It seems to keep jumping off on vaguely related tangents that have f*** all impact on the main storyline... John being emo about girls, Sarah being emo about everything... bitchface being emo about spying on John enough to slit her wrists.

Then they think they've made up for it when they add 1 minute of shirley manson stabbing people and blowing up a barn.

As eK said to me, theres not enough Cameron doing cool s***.

Thoughts, comments?

Heroes is fast catching with the emo/action ratio too... f***ing Claire bulls***... f***. Writers please get a clue!

Still watching the show but it really has gone off on a tangent, and just on the topic of tangents fast and the furious new movie out on 3rd April 16th in Australia trailer makes the movie look better and all fast and the furious movies to date.

yer the writers where better before they went on their love fest strike. Everything they right now is just utter s***, no action, suspense or anythin interesting.

Needs more cameron kicking ass and taking names, in her panties ;)

and heroes needs more hardcore "bad" guys. I mean what the f*** is the deal with parkmen, he is the faggiest character in the entire show.

"hey my names parkman, i can control ur mind, but i think ill just stand there with my poofter hands in the air and let u capture and torture me instead of using my power to get away"

WTF!!!

Parkman is pretty gay. I blame the actor though. Hes just a bit too "family".

Claire is also terrbile. Peter on the other hand is a badass.

I agree that the con chrons needs a bit more action, but I think they're at the stage of developing a long term story arc, so its obviously coming up soon.

It's total s***. It was obvious after the first episode, but I just recently sat through the first 2 seasons so my memory is completely clear on just how bad it is.

It's almost just bad because it /could/ have been so incredibly awesome.

It suffers from Smallvill-itis - an awesome concept but woefully executed. I would have made both these shows in the same sort of style - more about the trials and tribulations of living a secret life and less every week fighting another Kryptonite-mutated superhero or Yet Another f***ing Terminator sent back through time. Seriously? We have 3 movies with 3 Terminators sent back over a period of like 20 years and then all of a sudden its RAINING people sent back through time.

The answer, of course, is always going to be "oh time travel", because once you have time travel in a story it f***s it all up and makes it retarded (see: Peter F Hamilton's latest book, what the f***).

If the story had just been John and Sarah on the run from the cops, training him in the ways of the jedi, dealing with normal high school issues whilst knowing he's the saviour of mankind (and not in the stupid emo way he does at the moment with that boring blonde chick), that could have been really something.

I think Lena Headly is pretty good as Sarah (although she's no Linda Hamilton, at least she's nice on the eyes) and even John I don't mind, I just think he's been shafted with a crappy role. Basically every other single person in the show is a Terminator though and they are all lame; they almost ALL have this dog-like tendency to tilt their head on the side to show that they're thinking about something. And they all have stupid quips as almost every single line.

Let's be honest here, basically the only reason to keep watching this show is to find out whether or not John nails Cameron. Or for more Summer Glau sideboob. It has no other redeeming features.

In conclusion, only HBO should be allowed to make TV shows. Just like Cameron (James, not the female Terminator variety) should be the only one allowed to make Terminator movies.

The effect? I'll tell you the effect! It's PISSING ME OFF!

There was time travel in 'Temporal Void' ? I must have slept through that chapter. Oh wait, you mean the water walker guy? I don't have a problem with it, as it was in an alternate universe that shapes itself specfic to what you want given that you have enough 'psychic' ability. It also explains why so many people are so keen to travel to the void as they see it as an opportunity to live a perfect life that you can rewind any mistakes you make.

I was getting so pumped at the end of that book because all that s*** was going down, people were dying left right and centre, betrayal, general mayhem - it was awesome! And then just when I thought I was about to explode from joy in reading a book where they're not scared to kill of characters people like, he goes back in time. SNORE!@#!@#!@#!@

I like the show but the last two eps have been complete ass. Who the f*** gives a s*** about Sarah and her f***ing dreams for f***s sake????

What I want to see are more terminators sent back, more action and more of Cameron busting skulls. I just wish Sarah and John would die already leaving Cameron and Derek to keep the action alive. John dying won't be a problem seeing as he is gonna die in the future and be replaced by a skin-job anyway.

The perfect story would be Cromartie going beserk and escaping. He catches Sarah and puts a fist thru her skull. Meanwhile, Cameron, Jesse and Riley have a three-way.

I don't hate the show, or think it's particularly bad, but it could be so much more. The number of terminators that get sent back is a bit silly, but sometimes it'd done pretty well. I really liked the episode about the Terminator that got sent back way too far, and accidentally killed someone he wasn't supposed to in the process. He had to take on the endeavors that his victim was supposed to do, just so he could complete his mission. I thought that was really cool.

I'm going to keep watching it, but it sure as hell could be a lot better.

If they've already gone about sending rando terminators back... keep doing it if not solely for the action!

Send term back > fight with Cameron > Cameron wins * repeat many times in different scenarios

It would be far more entertaining than this emo bulls***!

On that note... why wouldn't you just send back a buttload of terminators at the same time. Is there some reason that is stopping the machines in the future from doing this?

On the topic of Heroes... I'd be so pissed if I were in Hayden's shoes... they have totally ruined her character into a stupid emo bitch.

I'm persisting with it out of loyalty to the franchise, but seriously, how could they manage to f*** this up so badly?

The biggest problem with this show is Sarah Connor. She's thoroughly unconvincing as the protagonist. Its not the actor's fault eally, she's been given a bunch of whiney introverted emo storylines to work with. Sarah just isn't that - she's mental hardcore and driven without mercy towards the future.

A TV show is an awesome way to expand on a movie's canon and really develop the world of the setting. They could have done so much with this! Instead a season and a half into it we still have the same f***ing skynet throwing s*** at John from the future stuff that's been the staple of three goddamn movies.

What the f***? Did the Business Case for the production of this thing specifically preclude ANY f***ing developments to the Terminator world?

This show has become sooooooooooooo decompressed, its like it was meant to be a 13 episode season and they've been made to pad it out to 24 episodes or something.

Spoiler:
Can't believe they f***ing killed Derek, and he went down like a chump too, such a lame death. At least Charlie went down fighting. Did it not get picked up for another season? Seems like they're wrapping up a lot of loose ends and killing lots of characters in the past few episodes.

Yeah, this could have been such an awesome show but they really f***ed up season 2. Whoever is writing their stories should be shot. The two things that really killed it were John and Sarah. If they died at the beginning it would have been so much better just having Cameron and Derek going around kicking ass.

Her accent sounded more new zealand than australian to me. But yeah, that was actually a pretty awesome season finale, if the season ran for say 13 episodes instead of 22 they might have stood a better chance of keeping that level of intensity up throughout the season, but as it was, it was just too strung out with too many episodes of filler crap where nothing happened.

Still, I'm hoping they do a season 3 now just cos it looks like it has potential to be pretty awesome, and Derek is back! That almost makes up for killing him in such a lame way in the past, or present, or whatever the f***. Damn time travel stories, play havoc with tenses.

The Kyle Reece in the show is way younger than Michael Beihn's character. The Reece in the show hasn't hooked up with Sarah yet. The Reece in the movie was sent beck to protect Sarah by John Connor. The pretty-boy has some 'hardening the f*** up to do'.

I don't think that the Kyle Reese from that episode knew the significance of John Connor as a Great Leader or whatever though he might well of recognised from when they met in that park when Kyle was a kid. Or he might have just thought that John looked a lot like him.

trog, that's actually kyle reece in the MOVIE terminator salvation, not in the series. which kinda makes sense that he'd be younger, since the movie is set in 2018, whereas the original michael biehn character came back from 2035 or some such.

Just before they go in to meet with Catherine Weaver, John and Sarah have a conversation about Cameron's allegations of Sarah being sick. As they get up to go into Weaver's office, John says "I love you". Maybe Sarah's "I love you too" at the end was just a whisper of what she said as he disappeared. A touching moment to show the fans that Sarah isn't just a hardcore, emo, terminating, terminator killer. If anyone has news on whether or not this definitely coming back, let us know.

No doubt John Connor will get that chip back an re-insert it into that Cameron model with Kyle Reese.

Haha, after nF's pic, the casting of Kyle in the TV show doesn't actually seem that bad, they just needed to make him look less pretty, like they obviously have in Terminator 1. He is still a little young though.

I'm not so sure the Cameron with Kyle Reese was a terminator, notice how they made a point of her patting the dog and the dog liking her?

Makes sense that she was a real person that Connor got to know and trust, then the machines send a terminator that looks like her to infiltrate his base and kill him.

Yeah I thought that too. I'd say she's human. However, somewhere along the series they'll make a terminator based on her. Why else would the writers make John Henry take her chip into the future? To write that same character back into the show.

Ya, I think the Cameron in the future is Alison (her former human self) and I think that John will remodel a robot after her (maybe she dies and gets rebuilt robostyle).
And don't forget that John Henry didn't take the chip from her...she gave it to him.

John Henry character/terminator was awesome and freaky at the same time. Especially with that lil grin he did.

So no more Mr Ellison in series three then? (if it happens) I can't see him being written into the future for that matter. Same with Sarah really. It'll probably be called John Connor Chronicles...

there was a cameron centric episode showing how she came to being. allison was captured by skynet etc and they made a terminator that looked like her (cameron) who then killed her.

Yeah that angered me.

The casting of the dog i mean. As if a dog that's in a resistance thats fighting with every resource it can scrounge would have such prefect knot-free hair and such a shine to its coat. Looks like it wandered straight off the field at a dog show onto the set. As if resistance fighters would have time in their schedules to brush their dog twice a day and bathe it every 3 days.

Whoever did the casting was on chump to see that dog and go "yep, thats a resistance dog."

Hey, just a question..If John Henry has Cameron's chip inside him, how did he put it there? I mean, he would had to have taken Cameron's chip out to start with (making her inactive), then replace his own with hers. Once he pulls his chip out, he would then be inactive also. What's the deal with the cord anyway? Was it just an ethernet cable or was it a power supply too? Does he have a chip bay where Cameron has one?

story here
CBR: To begin, the second season finale of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” aired the other night and had a mind-blowing ending that made the episode feel more like a series finale. Was that intentional?

Brian Austin Green: No. The third season is going to be incredible, if it happens. There were no intentions of this being a series finale. It was absolutely a season finale. There’s a plan where this can go and it’s so good. You know, I went on some of the Terminator sites just to see what fans were saying Friday night and there is a lot of confusion over it.

This is very good news if it's true

Cool Article.

Unfortunately...
According to Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly, two “inside sources” are telling him that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been canceled, and all that’s left is for FOX to make it official with an announcement. Unfortunately for everyone involved (but especially the fans holding out for a third season), FOX won’t be doing any such thing until May 18, when they roll out their Fall Schedule to the press.

He didn't have a chip, all that computer hardware behind him was his 'chip,' and it was what was controlling the body. He was probably able to just put in Cameron's, then unplug himself from the computer.

yeah I just read on moviehole.net it's not coming back.

But do you reckon they do this to see if they get a reaction from the fans?

With Prison Break, when they killed off Sarah, fans refused to watch it so they ended writing her back into season 3.

Hope it does comes back...But I guess we know John Connor becomes the leader of the resistance, what more drawn out details can they tell?

Well, I think the gender is purely defined by the current body.

The actress that played Sarah had a baby, and was not available to film Prison Break.

Kinda sounds like the jury is still out on the fate of this show. I read the article at Moviehole and there was no definite cancellation.

personally i'd rather they let it finish on a high note, than let fox axe it half way through a budget 3rd season.

I'd like to see a network who gives a s*** pick it up, like Sci-Fi or something.
