No biggie, but something you don't see every day. Some neighbours of mine had their wheelie bin out at the curb ready for pick up on Thursday morning. JJ's came to pick it up and tried lifting it five times before, on the last attempt, the arse end of the bin dropped out along with an engine block. Cheeky buggers. The truckie jumped outta the cab and took some snapshots before moving on.
I've heard that the truckies are supposed to whack a sticker (with contact details) on your lid if the bin is too heavy.
Can just imagine the bottom dropping out of the mafia's wheelie bin.

Ha! Good stuff! Teach those bastards a lesson! Of course in his report it will say he only tried to lift it once and on that first time the arse fell out of the bin.

I am sure that block will be gone when some bogan claims it with a view to turning it into either a coffee table of letter box.

Takes a lot less strength to wheel a bin than it does to actually lift it. Try lifting your bin sometime and see how that goes.

What kind of engine block was it? Either it was huge or those trucks must have a low maximum weight limit because I can lift a 4 cylinder engine block + sump + head (alloy head cast steel block), they're not that heavy.

You know whoop I was going to actually say what you said but I kind of thought knowing that would come as second nature to anyone and everyone pretty much on the entire face of the planet.

I'd say it had alot less to do with the strength of the arm on the truck, and more to do with the bin being plastic.
