wifey has been asked to investigate a video conferencing solution for her office.

they are after cheap, whats the gizzo?

it mite be as easy as just using skype, but they may want multiple clients, we're not sure at this stage;

any suggestions?

We use this at Sensis and its a great solution and much much cheaper than a hardware solution.

Webex is not bad but we went with GoToMeeting (the Citrix alternative) and it is pretty good. You can get a free 30 day trial:

Yeah I use gotomeeting but not for the vid conference it's more web conference for showing demo etc for multiple parties whilst using the normal phone to step through it.

I use Skype or MSN depending on who we're talking to.

they hate being put under the thumb on this - but hey - it's in their contract.


I don't trust people who are only available via a phone in a modern office.. I can't see the expressions on their faces while I'm putting them under pressure.
