they used it, but now we have splintered off into an alternate reality where the LHC is broken and using it has been delayed.

THEY being the scientists who spend million (billions?) of dollars to build the thing?

"hey guys, we have spent billions of dollars building this lhc thing and have come under constant scrutiny to justify such an outrageous expense! Hey look we just discovered something really cool better not tell the public though!"

Why are they letting people with mikey mouse ties work on that thing?. Also, do the hard hats stop then from being sucked into a black hole?

Actually now that I think about it, a guy that old wearing a mikey mouse tie obviously has no life and is probably the best person to be doing it.

that's 4 guys watching one guy do up a bolt....that's better than the average council ratio....I especially like the two that are getting paid to watch but aren't even doing that.

My money says they're just there so they can be first to root the sweet alien bitches when we get sucked through the inevitable black hole...which explains the 40 year old in a Mickey Mouse tie and rock climbing helmet - that s*** works like a tractor beam on ho's.

Read the piece of paper: "Last Bolt tightening 7.11.2007". It was probably just a little group celebration.
