My turn to show off now :D

I did the painting myself, but other than that it was all done by professionals

There is still some to do; more painting and the mirrors need to be installed (large area over the basin)

The bathroom before was untouched since I am guessing it was built. There was also a linen cupboard taking up a lot of the room which is now gone. The man hole was also moved from the bathroom to the hall.

Sif clean your bathroom, just get a new one !!

Top job. New bathroom looks way better. eBay that yellow toilet for sure as priceless 70's memorabilia...

Amazing work, they replaced a small child with a toilet paper holder!

srsly though - looks nice! How come you attacked the painting yourself? Me and my dad tried this a few times at my parents place and we cocked it up every time (probably didn't help we had beers to help us along). So we ended up just getting a professional in to do it.

The bath tub seems small. Do you fold yourself in half to use it?

Its just no fun having a BDSM and scat night in a small tub

i don't get why everyone does the painting themselves? it's the bit that everyone see's the most off, it's the finish. no one wants to see dodgey cutting in, roller marks etc

TicMan: Because we are cheap skates and we wanted it done quickly, not when someone was available to come out. I did it all in one day and got killer sinusitis because of it :( But it wasn't difficult and no need to pay someone!

Crusher: The new bathtub is super wide (85cm) and super deep (49cm). Normal baths are around 72 x 44. When we win the lotto we will build on an en suite and we shall put in a huge bath that can handle all sorts of kinky s*** :D

probably because its not actually that hard, just a pain in the arse to do and its something you can do yourself, rather than pay for;

when we painted, id never painted before and im famous for doing things half assed, and even my painting turned out ok;

yes, no doubt a professional would laugh and see all the things ive f***ed up, but really unless you go looking for them, they arent readily visable

Anyone know of a service where you can hire someone to clean your manhole? It's one of those finicky jobs I couldn't be bothered doing myself.

So... is anybody else going to comment on how nice it is that she has her clothes on in these photos? No? OK then.

Nice work, it looks like the bathroom was in desperate need of attention!

I can't believe it took 29 posts for that to come out. You're losing your touch QGL.

The bathroom looks great. We recently did our kitchen but posting pictures seems like a hassle. Just imagine a s***ty kitchen turning into a good kitchen.

a reno bathroom will cost you $10k minimum unless you're getting mates rates, in fact just about anothing around the house will cost $10k minimum. ahhh the joys of owning a house!

Looks great kat, you should be really proud!

I've tried and failed at handiwork on many projects in 2 houses. I now limit myself to painting too.

although I am planning on moving our water tanks out from under the house and reconnecting them to the pump and gutters myself - 'seems' pretty simple, but then again I completely f***ed up trying to build and install a gate at the top of the stairs onto the deck so....

That's really cool. I mean, if you live in a punk house/student house/hippy house or any other kind of s***ty budget shared place.

Looking way cool, I take it the linen cupboard was taken out to make more room in the bathroom yeah?

All done by yourself or you had professionals in?

I'm currently in the process of doing stuff to my place also, covering all the brick with plasterboard, putting in floating floor, painting etc. Save so much $ doing it yourself, and they make stuff fairly idiot proof these days. Bunnings is my new best friend.
