Hey,
Is anyone using iCal in an office environment with 100+ users and experienced performance issues? We've implemented it in the office but when the test group was happy and we converted all users over to it we've had performance issues with our xserve resources (mainly cpu usage) maxing out by the python processes. What we are seeing is as described here http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8685978 The xserve is a 2.8ghz quad core with 4Gb of ram with 10.5.6 leopard. What I suspect is the data imports people have done had several thousands events so maybe the 15 minute interval sync's are too much to handle. Symptoms are not being able to see other peoples calendars are times and sometimes not even your own one. The symptoms are too random to really being to point to one thing so hoping its either a known issue or maybe ical cannot handle calendar imports at all. |
