Hey, came across this this morning browsing delicious.

As the title states, big pictures of London at night. This is an update from a previous collection by the same photographer, Jason Hawkes. There's a link to see the previous photos on the same page, the new ones seem to be take from higher up than the originals, so theres more perspective and patterning etc.

Theres a great one of the Christmas decorations down Regents street.

Gives me flashbacks.

In Pic 13 (Nelson's column) there are 4 huge lions around the base. I got my mate to give me a leg-up and I managed to straddle one, then pulled up two other mates. Anyway, was a 30'C+ day, the lions were bronze and we were all wearing shorts. Whoops. We all burnt our legs.

I absolutely loath the place. After being in various German cities, traveling to London was like getting out of a 5 star bathroom and into a portaloo.

paris, london, berlin, helsinki... they all rock. depends what your after, who u go with, what your budget is etc.

at first i saw london as old and dirty. i caught the tube and didnt realise how close stuff is. when i started cycling around it - i loved it more and more. soooo many pubs & night life, so much history and intresting things. such a contrast between neighbourhoods. one area was a slum and just a few hundred meters away you have a wealthy area.

Germany still my fave place too - most interesting places to boot.

a dude shat himself at the train station, just dropped his pants and walked on

the majority of locals we dealt with (including the hotel staff and taxi drivers) were rude and unhelpful

the city was EXTREMELY DIRTY

ive heard some italian cities are pretty dirty, id be surprised if they were as dirty as paris was

I haven't had the pleasure of living abroad but I have been to London twice. I can say that I'm not a massive fan. Paris on the other hand, love it and want to move there

I live in London, I love it, one of the greatest cities in the world.

Edit: Can see my office building in picture 2, just left of the 3 barbican towers in the top right.

All those photos are really pretty, shame about the gigantic hideous ferris wheel spoiling the class of the place, so glad we don't have anything like... OH WAIT.

f***ing "Southern Star"
