Harveys used to have one, can't remember then name of it. You'd insert the disc and spin it around with this handle and all scratches fixed. And yeah it worked.

looking back, Dad had this same attitude to me touching his archives.


that said, I had to take the children's Hi-5 collection to Civic Video @ Mt Gravatt last year to have them cleaned up.. I can't remember what it cost - but I'll never go thru that expense again if I can help it.

OP: Have you tried places like JB or WOW? I know the device you mean and remember seeing it at somewhere like dick smith YEARS ago thinking pffft that'll never work.

I don't know what yous are talkin bout, toothpaste works a charm. Proved it couple of days ago with a fallout cd that wasn't installing. Good as new.

Btw, it doesn't get rid of scratches, it kinda plugs em up. But the disc will read perfectly.

My local GameTraders store has some wizz bang disk fixer, apparently it skims a layer of coating off the DVD/CD. They charge like $4 but it works everytime.
