lol i did buy Mario kart Wii play and mario & sonic last year :)

big beach sports was totally appalling

it really sux that s*** like that can be put out (and bought up) for the wii

its a collection of "mini Games"

soccer, shocking
cricket, disgraceful
frisbee, ok
bocchi, fun
gridiron, a joke
volleyball, fun for about 5 minutes

the wii controller obviously can be put to good use (ie wii sports)
its a shame that other developers are just making cheap bad s*** to cash in on it, rather than making good use of a great controller

I'd take it further and say that consoles don't appeal to me whatsoever.

I'm a bit of a console convert at the moment.

I'm sick to death of FPS which the PC really dominates in, but consoles have a nice variety of other game styles which I've been getting down with.

I"m shocked that the top 10 are games I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot x-pole.

I guess the family games have overtaken the sales of the hardcore gaming nerd. Good for the industry I guess, finance wise.

Market research firm GfK has provided Screen Play with a list of the Top 10 best selling console games in Australia for 2008.

Says it all.

I guess if you have a Wii there aren't many good games to get, so naturally they will sell good numbers.
