I saw this movie yesterday with some mates, and boy was it f***ing terrible.

Warning bells should have gone off when i saw Keanu Reeves was in it, but i gave it a chance. After much waiting, the story line never showed up.

So yeah, this post is basically a warning to anyone planning on this movie to not waste your money and 2 hours, it is by far the worst movie i have ever seen at the cinema.

Was anyone else unfortunate enough to see this?

The original is such an awesome movie for its time.

Michael Rennie (Klaatu) made a lot of US Military education/training movies and had many friends high up in the Military. He was certain UFOs existed and had met ppl that worked in the secret research groups.

It would be awesome if you liked movies with terrible acting, no plot, no climax, and where the main character's (Reeve's character) lines appear to be from a set pool.

My son went and saw it yesterday ... now when a 14 year old sites poor acting and a crap story line as being problems you might want to consider saving your money.

I saw this and while I didn't think it was amazing, (SURPRISE NO ENDING) I thought it was at least decent and could be called a movie. About the only parts I liked all involved the robot.

EDIT - took the last part of my post out because after watching the cinemassacre thing again I realised he is talking about another movie entirely, not TDTESS.

Yeah I guess I should punish the hell out of my boy. I mean who wants a kid that puts the slightest bit of thought into his opinions.

I have to say one of the most enjoyable things about communicating with my son is listening to him pull a topic apart peice by peice and then form a reasonable opinion of his own. Much better than getting an unfounded blacket response like it was crap or it rocked then having him not be able to explain why he thought so.

Too true, it defiantly was a waste for gold class (bah girlfriends) but still worth viewing in other methods imo.

Gold Class always has been allocated seating as far as I know.

I thought it was pretty bad, it was very slow. I was actually hoping to see an action flick...this wasn't.

I am quite surprised that some of you didn't mind it. It had no acting, no storyline, no action, basically nothing interesting at all. It might have been ok if they made something interesting out of the whole alien thing, but they didn't.

The little black kid was annoying as all hell too, he was basically on a loop repeating 3 different lines over and over.

because the asian had been living on earth monitoring the humans for 70years, and he gave the main guy the report on wether humans should be killed or not?

I thought the alien was decent. There's no NEED for an alien to have huge teeth and scales and to climb walls. The action was also alright.

It wasn't just Vista that was pimped, there were quite a few times I thought the product placement was embarrassingly blatant, only other one I can remember now was the mobile phone had the big logo of whatever brand it was, can't remember now.

That kind of thing really just shows how little respect they have for the movie they're making.
