I believe there has to be life out there but what I don't believe is some gay-ass shakey-cam UFO footage. UFO's must have some sorta cloaking device that makes images of them blury.

There's surely life out there, but if it's been happening for a few days, surely they'd have some hi-def photos / videos of the thing, rather than some shakey s*** footage....

Yeah there are some pretty big differences, for a start the Catholic Church does exist, their existence has never been in doubt. Where as aliens have only really been theorised at best for 200 years or less. No right minded Christian has ever denied the existence of Catholics.

All cam footage is going to be shakey, even a production camera would not get a clear shot at an dim object in the night sky over distance. If you full zoom on a s***ty camcorder even with a tripod the image will be shaky as hell.

Im a skeptic about all paranormal stuff apart from UFOs.

Saw a video long time ago at a UFO lecture by Stanton Freidman and Professor John Mack. Mr freidman was like a walking a X-files episode with conspiracies but Mr Macks work involved working with alleged abductees and human/alien contacts. He was not totally convinced Aliens were responsible but that something unknown was happening to at least some of these ppl.

He played a short doco where he interviewed these Zimbabwe children from a remote township. These very young children described the day a UFO landed near the school and 2 aliens in suits floated across the ground and talked to the children "inside their heads."
Spookiest thing Ive ever seen. No way was it faked.

And anyone with a bit of spare time can make flying objects. You don't even need to go to the trouble of making an RC flying toy with blinking lights - you can do a hot air balloon with a garbage bag and a fire starter block, and it will still freak people out.

I'd love to think we've had visitors from outer space, but, I just cant. I have always been of the belief that other intelligent beings exist in the universe, but I don’t think they are amongst us.

Consider this.
Our sun is reasonably young in relation to the majority of others around us, near us, within our Galaxy.
Think of how far we have come since the Wright brothers 1st powered flight in 1903. We landed a man on the moon 66 years later FFS !
Given the average age of other stars, evolution may have had a billion years to progress life elsewhere. If you go back to my previous point, who knows what they may be capable of now given how long they would have had to develop.

Condoned by who? The magical interstellar galactic federation committee? I think given the mind-boggling immensity of space, if there are aliens that are capable of traveling to Earth, it's fairly safe to say there may be more than the one species. so what do religious people do? they believe that various phenomena are the direct results of actions by higher beings. they believe that mankind is on the wrong path and that said higher beings are trying to help us avoid going down this path. they believe that a lack of evidence to prove the existence of a higher being is deliberate, yet said higher beings will occasionally reveal themselves to selected people. counter-intuitively, those people are usually given instructions to tell everyone. they are willing to accept vague evidence or the accounts of people they have never met, while dismissing evidence against their beliefs which might be more solid. any attack on their beliefs is taken extremely personally, and the attackers are given a specific name and actively ignored. they often believe there is a conspiracy by nefarious individuals to question their beliefs and they also have no sense of irony at all.
