I got issues 1 onwards (maybe the first 30?) of both PC Powerplay and Hyper .

I have just about every issue of the old NMS magazine. I think they're sitting in a container somewhere at home. When the first issue of that came out, I think they might have even still been reviewing games on the NES. I bought the odd Hyper but not often and probably don't have any of those anymore.

I have every issue of Hyper except for the first one and I have PC Powerplay from the Quake 2 one up until now. Not sure why I keep them but it's cool to look back 10 years ago and cringe at the graphics.

I've got a fair number of C&VG magazines from the early 90s at home, along with some ZZapp64!!, Commodore Format, some old PC gamers and other odds & ends - They're fairly entertaining reads at the best of times. Old APC mags from the mid 90s are fairly fun to read too - NEW! Pentium 120! ULTRA POWERFUL! BEST BANG FOR BUCK! etc...

Used to get NMS for a few years, but I'm pretty sure I turfed them.

got a mate who has every issue of pc powerplay, i use to have every issue but tossed em out when the internet became a far better source for gaming news...
magazines are so out of date by the time they are printed that they are the biggest waste of money ever...

that is excluding the odd exclusive.. even then god bless the internet and magazine scans.

Yeah got the 1 > about 2001 of PCPP.

I think the best one is in one of the 1998/99 mag's they reviewed Duke Nukem Forever and said that it was about to come out in the next few weeks. That and TF2 being on the most wanted list in 1999. Hohohohoho.

Also love looking at the hardware, like the 3000$ 21 inch CRT's.

I ..don't understand how you get to a point where, when you're moving house - you don't just chuck this kinda stuff out?
do you actually find a box to pack it into make a conscious decision to keep this crap?

Because they don't have women in their loves who tell them to get rid of their junk.

Why wouldn't you keep 'that crap' especially if you were into gaming?

I got hyper from like 70-130, they went down hill fast around 110 after their cheif editor left. I think he now works for IGN AU.

Heh, that's the era when I wrote the odd thing for them, though now I can't remember anything I did, except for an Everquest 2 review, which was when Cam was editor. I know I'm in issue 100 though, along with everyone else who had ever contributed anything.

I have a few hyper's and some NMS, and I got probably 40 or so Nintendo Gamer mags which I used to love reading, and they had an obsession with Natalie Portman in their reader section...but I stopped getting them about when Steve Farrely became editor, lol. :P
