My old boss and I used to try and come up with lists of actors who might be perfect for the as-then-non-existent A Team movie. We had an "A" list and a "B" list, "A" listers being big box office draws, Hollywood types such as Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The "B" listers would be just that - "B" grade actors like Dolph Lundgren and Jim Belushi.

After reading that they are in fact looking to make a movie of the famous guns-for-hire, and that Ice Cube has expressed an interest in the role of the Heavy, B.A. Baracus, I started thinking about this again and drew up a list. So the question is, budget aside (not an issue for the "B" list) who would you cast in the A Team movie.

Brad Pitt
"Howlin Mad" Murdoch
Jim Carrey
B.A. Baracus
Michael Clarke Duncan (borderline "B" lister but the best fit IMO)


"B" List:

Tommy Lee Jones

B.A. Baracus

It's sad that hollywood can't be creative anymore..that they have to go back to cult classics that were on tv and try to revive them with movies..Some of them could be hits others i dont think so..

GI Joe could be so so..a team would be just lame O i reckon..

the ateam was awesome, although i used to get pissed off with all those bullets flying everywhere and no one died

A list means the movie is carried on the strength of the actor's name. I wouldn't think many people would be off to see "the new Tommy Lee Jones movie" whereas some people would go just because it's Jim Carrey.

Anyway, "A" list or not, who is right for the role?
