personally, id want something with less ks, moar power and a few extra doors (check link below)

its an overall thing, build qlty, handling, toughness ( got hit by a car in the rear @ 70km/hr car = totaled, hilux = fixed with no chassis movement and very little panel dammage).

looks good, drives well, v6 have plenty of guts cant remember 163kw?, can do some pretty awesome mods e.g. 230kw @ rw with supercharger, Fuel wise (petrol) getting 11L per 100 highway 13-14l per 100 city.

Currently Australias Number one selling vehicle aswell.

Has to be good if people are buying 07 hilux's , and waiting over 6months for delivery of new ones.

pps. how much did u pay for the 07 and with how many km's ??, atm the resale is pretty incredible, unless of course you have a mate that wants to upgrade to the extra spec'd 08/09 etc.

waste of money is a very subjective term

imo it's asking price is too high for the k's but my guess is gaz is thinkin of the accessories and what they'd cost him to buy and fit

First cab off the rank is hard tray cover and chrome grill.. then all is gooood.

dual battery and rust protection is pretty sweet, has a fairly solid sound system aswell.

You are right, spending 15k on a 10 year old car is in no way shape or form a waste of money. It's not like petrol is expensive or on the rise. No sir its a smart move indeed.

Why don't you buy it, 30-something boy?

cause i have a car thats even older and burns probably more fuel, and yeah i'm putting $2k of brand new suspension in it soon and in the middle of doing a stereo install and some other random mods.

but i wouldn't change that for the world. apart from maybe a gtr

30 something? what?

nice gaz,
im sure ive seen that ride on newhilux.net the mags look familiar.

and as i said earlier to others re hilux, 07 modem with 51k on theclock and they got 41k, Thats not uncommon or Gaz being stupid, that is what the resale value of well kept Hilux are going for (e.g. not ex mine vehicles).

There are lots of people out there that dont want to wait the 6months for delivery save $6-8k off the retail, and get the car now and are paying top dollar for them, i believe in early january 07 before they became so popular a samilar purchase would have cost closer to $30-$34k, but now they are holding incredible value, pretty sure there was an 05 model (fully pimped/lift etc nice car) for $51k, and i cant remembr the k's etc but it was close to 100k
