Probably not for normal movies, but I'd say they'd still have the imax projector in there, and they just have a normal projector as well. I think they still occasionally show actual Imax movies on it don't they?

I was under the impression that to screen imax movies you have to pay a s*** load of royalties or something to imax itself, to use the name and technology

Ah, yeah, you're probably right, cos I know the Imax down here that is still an actual Imax costs heaps more to watch movies at than the southbank one, its like $20 to see an Imax movie.
