Wet n Wild coming to Sunshine Coast

I wonder whether Ettamogah pub and Aussie World, the poor excuse for a theme park, will be knocked down? Frankly I think Ettamogah lost it's charm over 10 years ago when they started to really build it up and modernise it.

Does Aussie World still have the toboggan thingy's? They were cool, if you did the fast section right you could get some serious air :)

I think they eventually took them out.

Last time I went (AGES ago) you had to sign like a 5 page waiver and wear s***loads of protective gear... people started getting hurt a lot.

I remember there were 4 courses.

1. Starter track (complete noobs, not worth it)
2. Fast track (really straight track, the steepest and the fastest)
3. "Rollercoaster" track (quite steep but f***loads of turns, lots of crashing)
4. "Advance" track, half way through track 3 it seperated off, it had a bridge + f***loads of up/down bumps + a "skid zone" at the end where you would get sideways on the slippery concrete.

Track 2 was really the best, the trick as when the bus let you off along the top strip... you stand up on one leg and hammer it along like a scooter, get up to like 25 - 30km/hr BEFORE you hit the start of the track... then it got f***ing deadly :D

I love that luge, best fun ever, I crippled myself way too much.

I miss the days when you could down a few jugs and then go out the back and ride the cars/go carts down the track.
