I was gonna post an ANZAC day thread.

Why ANZAC day?

ANZAC day is the anniversary of the first day the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps were involved in major military action, that being on the 25th of April 1915, at Gallipoli.

I was at the Dawn Servýce at ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli, this mornýng.
Very awesome experence, I had a full kýt of clothes/gear and I was freezýng my ass off. I cant imagine how bad it must have been to do that with bullets and shells whirling past your head.

My grandfather fought in WW1 as a comunýcatýons officer. So I had the honor of wearing his Medals to the service aswell. He didnt serve at Gallipoli and thankfully made it home safe after the war.

Was apparently a pretty big turn out, over 10k people or somethýng.
The Aussýe service after was great too and walkýng up amougst the hills is a real moving experence. Seeing the unsomantable odds that our Diggers must have been up against.
