how do u do the boost start in this game? i am trying to press the accelerate at the exact time but no luck?

also how do u do tricks to get the speed boost?

i use nunchuck +wiimote btw

To boost at the start, press A right after the second light. You'll get a boost as long as you press it between the second and third, but the sooner you press it the bigger the boost.

And to do tricks, just flick the remote right as you're about to go off a jump.

Ffs, I was playing this online last night, and the same c*** kept voting for Rainbow road, and we played it FOUR TIMES IN A f***ING ROW. He was the ONLY one voting for it too! Pissed me off so much, mainly because this is the first Rainbow Road in any Mario Kart that I can't beat without falling off. I hates it!

Spook, what cart/bike do you use on Rainbow Road? I think that's my biggest problem, I'm just not using the right one. I think the other thing is that I was using a really light character, and even the slightest bump from another player sends me flying off the edge.

ive gone through and unlocked all the expert ghosts in time trials, which is a reasonable begining time on most tracks

feel free to challenge me on any time trial (prefer non gimicky races, nice racetrack ones) and lets get our times down!

ive done the bulk of the tracks with peach and wild child, but it looks like ill have to start using bikes for most tracks to get the times down, which is a little gay

much prefer the karts to the bikes;

challenge away!

IMO there should be separate leaderboards/times for Karts and Bikes :/

donkeykong and the fast bike are go, redoing all the single player again to get back on track! (and unlock all the goodies)

Are the ghosts of the fastest times available?
1:34 is basically using the wall-jump territory, or getting a tow from the chain-chomp, and would have to be 150cc.

basically driving teh entire race perfect and using cheaty hax (which ive been forced to)

ok, i complained earlier about most of the online races only being 100cc:

you just gotta grind you online score out a bit to get to the good stuff:

im about 6500 (varies between that and about 7000) and when i was last playing online, i got to race guys who were all 8000+ (including futureguy who was 9300, he lost points unless he won the race, and even when he was winning he was only getting 10/20 points, tough grind!)

pretty much every race was 150cc, or a mirror race!
