ok, given how lame my upload speed is there, and considering i'm on optus cable, how would i fix this? how does one "fix" uploads? my ratio is plummetting and all because even when ports are unblocked (or even just plugged in to modem, no firewall) uploads are sporadic at best.

plz help.

ahh optus is capped to 256k upload.... that might be why you cant go any faster. Telstra cable now has 1mbit up ;)

There are plans which the upload speed is 384kbps, pity the content is metered both ways for them.

Telstra cable now has 1mbit up ;)
So users can chew through their cap even quicker!

you think that's slow? I'm on the 128k up plan with telstra. ph34r. I don't upload anything anyway so I don't really give a toss. Hell I don't download much either, 47% used with 7 days to go.

ok, be that as it may. if there are 25(28) peers connected to me, shouldn't data actually be leaving my comp?

Yerp, that's Optus Cable for you...

But then, who needs to upload at high bandwidth anyway? :P We're gamers, it's ping and download bandwidth that matters!

that's right spook, share the love. uploads of 25k from uT would be nice. uploads of anything over 3k (peak) would be nice.

Cough up some dollars and use news groups, alot more hassle free than BT.

Could someone give the low down on all these terms (ping, uploads, downloads, trackers) it's all fuzzy to me. I know if I'm getting 30kB/s Down Speed, I'm getting the average from optus in my area.

Rent a cheap seedbox for a month and you will never have a problem again:)
