So this evening we were dropped from the GA TF2 ladder due to inactivity for 30 days.

Can we just re-join the ladder and start warring please? I know our current chain of command would like some more practice and get some solid strats and tactics under our belt, before we start pwning up the ladder... but i think 30 days of inactivity is enough to warrant us really getting our asses into gear and playing some wars. Regardless of how much, or how little practice we have had.

Theres only so much we can learn from scrims with just [QGL], we need to get out into the thick of it and learn from other teams aswell. Are we that afraid of losing that its better to just not war anybody? I just wanna play some proper freaking TF2 and don't mind if we have a few losses first up, it would be nice to have some fun out there... and I know I'm not the only one of this opinion.

I vote for a quick re-entry into the ladder, and some captains with the kahuna's to make challenges, so that we can start warring straight away.

I think the problem there with scrims with [QGL] and not enough players showing up is that, well it is only a scrim, and as such it doesnt really matter who turns up and who wins or loses. Im sure that everyone would take it a bit more seriously if we were actually involved in the ladder, and had proper wars ontop of the regular scrims.

We've definitely got alot of talent when its boiled down to the individuals who make up our team. I'd just like us to get together more often as a team so what we can meld as one cohesive unit, so that next season we'll be looking at a [QGL] vs [qgl] final :)

So, you guys do realise that we ([QGL]) are warring all the time right?

We're using our lame scrims against you guys (lame due to not everyone attending) as practice... nothing more.

GLHF.

PS: If any QGL readers are involved in organising the ladder... can we have 12 v 12 next time :P

Is TF2 as fun as ET was in the cooperation factor? ie: every class is useful in their own special way.

woohoo revolution!

seeing as Chubb decided to go offline when I queried whats going on, it seem's he isn't interested in sorting out the problem straight away. so I'll accept these nominations, usurp a position of leadership, and start doing something about it tonight. sorry if this pisses people off, but I think the Shortbus has procrastinated too long, and its time to move up from finger painting classes.

I'll add whoever I can find the GA usernames for tonight, and if those of you dont get an invite, if u could post your username here, I'll add you.

Also, it would be nice to have at least 20ppl in the clan, as not everyone would be available for every war. also this makes for enough players that we could scrim amongst ourselves, and practive our defensive squad against our offensive squad.

If anyone else would like in on the QGL Shortbus, express your interest here.

I wanted to get up a ladder game by yesterday, ironically, but I haven't had nearly enough time on the comp lately to do s*** all.

5 f***ing assignments. Seriously, school sucks.

zombie, the forum has most all the info you need on who's available when, etc. + CHUB has all the major admin rights on steam, so I can't make you an admin in the group.

20+ people is far too much. 15 members is more than enough already.

I disagree, even with 15ppl we've sometimes had some trouble fielding players for our scrims with [QGL]... and that's for a scrim that has been setup as a weekly affair, same bat-time, same bat-channel.

I want to be prepared to be able to field a team on any given night, and for any given timeslot... we just don't know what the challenger is going to throw at us. I don't want to be forfeiting games... its better to lose on the battlefield, then to lose and not try fighting at all.

Also as the ball starts rolling as we become more established in the TF2 community, there will be plenty of clans wanting to scrim with us. With a larger player base consisting of a majority of regularly active players, whats to stop us from having a scrim or two every night of the week?
As long as everybody realises that they wont be playing in every single war, there really isn't an issue.

So far, the following have been invited to rejoin the team. If you're one of those I've missed, please post your GA username. 4 have enrolled so far, so we're already halfway to being able to make a challenge again.

Hey don't blame me, I'm on Steam all day everyday/same with QGL, if you want to contact me you can.

I was going to do a ladder challenge last week, but we couldn't even get 6 people together for a full round/map of scrim. If people wanted to do a ladder challenge, just say so... but we can't have repeat situations like that. If [qgl] wants everybody on Steam/GA to have captain status, just say soo so anyone can challenge anyone whenever.

Between the forum, QGL PM, and both Phooks and I having the ability to add people on the GA ladder and Steam... EVERYBODY should be on the list by now? So I don't know what's going on there.

Raaaaar. I'm in. I just watched full metal jacket again last night.

Seriously though.. I can't see any reason why we can't play. Some of those teams I've seen around in pubs and some scrims I'm not supposed to talk about are utter s***.

I'm back in. I wholly support the idea of having as many people as possible. Let's face it we're all busy so having a lot of players on hand can only help. If people want to drop out because they aren't getting enough play time then that's their problem.

I've been playing a heap on pubs I really just want to get some decent wars in.

Ummm Chub, I did contact you, as soon as I found out we were dropped. That you chose to ignore my queries and go offline, is the problem.

I'm also quite certain everyone has wanted a ladder challenge from the start, this clan came together with the buzz of real wars now being possible for us, as pub play can be quite lacking. Everyone I've chatted with since the inception of Shortbus, has been really excited about the prospect of warring... not just a regular scrim with 1 other clan, but warring, sorry but we didn't know we had to spell it out to make it any more obvious.

The excitement has since fizzled, and as such so did moral and the seriousness at which people looked at where we were heading. That is another reason why numbers have been lacking IMO.

As soon as we have 8 people enrolled, I'm going to make a challenge based on the info that we have on the whole 8 people who have bothered to respond with their times of availability. We DONT have all the people on our lists who have expressed interest, and those that are, haven't been chased up to complete something as simple as stating their days and times of availability.

That forum simply doesn't seem to be used enough at this point in time, which is why I've bought this s*** here.

Shortbus has had the carrot dangled on a stick in front of us for too long. I'm now confiscating the stick, and giving everyone feeder bags right on the yum-hole.

Alrighty then, now that 8 people have re-enrolled, we are back on the ladder at #89. I have just sent a challenge out to Lethal Interjektion Crew. Seemed like a good place to start seeing as they are at #56 with 0 wins - 2 losses.

Challenged times(Brisbane) are:
Sunday @ 7:30pm
Monday @ 8pm
Tuesday @ 9pm

Just a heads up on the possible times before the challenge is accepted or declined. So keep them in mind, and free at this stage if possible.

Any of those times sounds good. I'm all for pratice but would be more interested in proper games. I left a message on the forum about our first proper game a few weeks back but no response :(

I don't think I would have challenged as soon as I got 8 enrolled, from what I've read, you're gonna be lucky to field those 8 members. you should wait till you have at least 12+ on your roster and then challenge... lets hope you get a few more b4 the other team accepts your challenge...

Shortbus is a name that got thrown out there, and kinda stuck straight away. I dunno about this Shortbus movie, never saw it or even heard of it... but it makes me think of the short bus in "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd", that the special needs class got to go on field trips in.

Also, thanks for the concern Martz, but we should be sweet, that's 8 enrolled out of the 15 invited on the roster so far ;)
Speaking of which, Cfunji, you need to go and accept your invitation mate.

It was my suggestion and it was sort of intended to capture the fact that we were a somewhat "special" group. QGL jnr if you will, wearing the little propeller hats.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0367027/

it is the most sexually explicit film to ever receive only an R rating in austalia. it contains actual sex as opposed to simulated.

it starts with a man sucking his own dick till he cums in his mouth, and follows this with 'highlights' such as three men in a triangle formation rimming one another.

actually, 'shortbus' probably suits you guys to a T.

I read about it on a site and it was described as the most sexually explicit movie ever blah blah.. "people walk out of the cinema because it's too explicit"... that's all i read, i thought, when my quota rolls over i'll check it out. That very same morning i was in Borders and i saw it, i'm like s***, this is only R, how did it get released here??? So i dropped $10 on it and took it home.

Me and the Mrs started watching it....

now she bags me out for having bought what could only be described as arthouse gay porn.
