what a peice of s*** to be honest.. the trailer made it look alot better. and from what I've just read on wikipedia its nothing like the book (which sounds really cool!)

wtf was with the girl thinking he was dead, he walks back in after how many years and she acts totally normal - then gets on a plane to rome with him and f***s him in the hotel like nothing happened? werid.

Just looking at the trailer you can tell its going to be a big let down. Why would you even bother going to see it?

It could have turned out awesome based on that trailer, that has been my impression till I saw this thread. I guess in the back of my mind there was a possibility it would be horrible and kitchsy.

so many s*** movies all a special effects bonanza and no real story line.

Well me, my gf and my mate really enjoyed it. I was a bit disappointed at the abrupt end though it just went bam end right after the climax.

Please, whatever you do, don't play the game, and if you know anyone whos thinking about buying or playing the game, warn them against it also. If you work in a game store, recommend to your customers not to buy it. Stop telling publishers its ok to churn out horrible movie tie-in games with unreasonably short development cycles. Its really just not cool :(

Why can't more movie tie-ins be like the riddick game?

I thought this movie looked s***, as such have not bothered to see it.

The movie was a let down, unlike The Mist which was very good.

I watched it and thought rachel bilson was absolutely terrible, other than that it wasnt a bad watch. I heard it's a trilogy thus the partly s*** storyline.

It was s***e. Prolly wouldn't even recommend to people to see it on DVD. Maybe if they were really bored. and drunk.

I don't know what people saw in the trailer, IMO it looked like f***ing trash.

Answer me this, in the course of the movie, does the irish guy ever say "Hey Roland, let me see you dance"?

No he doesn't.. well, not that I know of, those Irish are pretty hard to understand.. f***ing Irish.

My two cents (including spoilers):

Very entertaining movie from start to finish, but as soon as you leave the cinema you're happy and inclined to completely forget the movie. Nothing of substance but still a fun ride. Rachel Bilson was fkn HOT AS DOG BALLS. Hayden was pretty good in it, but Sammy had a fairly different and slightly more subtley twisted role than usual. He didn't have many lines which was cool. Like everyone else is saying, ending was a bit wtf.

For some reason it didn't bother me that no one really cared that he "died" and then came back. I was more confused that he didn't seem phased after Sammy tried to kill him and just went about his life.

For me it was kinda similar to Underworld (which is still a whole lot better) where it was _almost_ a really good film but fell short of the mark.

Acting: 4/5
Story: 3/5 (tempting to give it 1.5, but I sort of see the underlying potential of the story which is pretty darn cool)
SFX: 4.5/5 - simple and effective.
Despite those seemingly high scores, there was still some undescribable disappointment, so overall I'd only give the movie 3/5 at the very most... definitely worth waiting for the DVD.
