1) Tait and lee to push each other to 160.

2) an indian to be too slow and get f***ed up when hit by ball.

3) me to laugh.

i know what he means alize, since when are the indian batsmen slow?

lee won't go 160, he's got his line and length in

tait will realise just as lee did that all out speed isn't the only aspect of being a pace bowler

yeah I've gotta say, it's going to be an interesting few days of cricket, just watching a nice 2 hour highlights package on skysports :D

I hope we do win, but I've got a bad feeling we won't :/

we were behind in sydney too.

It's not the first time the aussies (even in this 16 game run) have failed in the first innings.

But, i'll be glad if india do win, we need someone out there who can challenge us.

We used to be able to fail batting sometimes, because you could turn around and let Warney and McGrath rip the life out of a batting line up, mix in Brett Lee under less pressure and BAM, Australia would pull out the win.

Now we're stuck with Brett Lee having a lot of pressure to take the wickets because his back up is Clark (yeah no issues there - but he is a first change bowler so the onus is on Lee to get the first breakthrough) and Mitchell Johnson who is developing but not really there yet as a first class test bowler and Tait who, lets be honest, doesn't really know where the ball is going to land once it leaves his hands.... I'd like to see Symonds get asked to bowl his medium pacers, see if he can get that late in swing going with the old ball like he did last summer.

On top of that, the batting line up is carrying Clarke, Ponting and Gilchrist. Gilly for quite a while I might add, his average over the last 3 seasons is 39ish, which isn't enough to get picked for Australia as a batsman - yes he keeps but there are a few Aussies out there waiting in the wings who can keep and bat well, Haddin is at the top of that list.

Oh and a batsman on debut who must know he's only in there for the one test.

all boils down to, the indians bowled really well yesterday and we didnt on the first day

we were lucky to get them for 330

id say we're done, unless our bowlers turn it all around;

Don't diss Pathan, dudes scored a test century and has a few 80s under his belt, as well as being used as a top order bastman in one dayers because he can score quickly.

Depends, we're not in an awful position if we can dismiss them this afternoon with India leading by about 370...and then put an unbeaten 50 on ourselves.

It's not looking good though, I must say.

yer looking at 375+ to chase in 4th innings.... probably closer to 400

any money on punter for a double ton?

realistically, if we get them our tonight before close of play, we will have 2 full days to get ~400 or so.... plenty of time to get the runs but it all depends on how the batters bat!

Interesting, from what I've seen the pitch is still pretty good so the chase is very possible, but with 2 early wickets the Aussies aren't looking good.

Imagine if Sydney had gone different (or even drew)...I bet that's what India are thinking.

Australia might not have turned into pussies and started apologising for appealing and every little thing that might upset the fragile indians, bucknor would still be umpiring...

Ponting caught off a no ball, Hussey given out LBW when the ball would've got over the stumps and Symonds given out LBW after chopping it onto his pads.

So is it time to call off the tour unless both umpiries are sacked? anyone know any good stores to buy Bowden effigies from?

There were plenty of the same judgement's that fell Australia's way when India was at the crease. Tendulkar LBW was a disgrace also.

exactly, except the difference is Australia wont have a huge cry about it and say the other team arent playing in the spirit of the game, get the umpires changed and generaly have a cry.

No, the media will pronounce Australian cricket dominance to be over, after losing ONE TEST MATCH BY 70SOMETHING RUNS.

One could argue that if you lose something you no longer dominate it or have dominance over it.
