Hey theres a bit of a drama bomb going on at another forums i'm part of anyway, do you people who are mods ever just look inwards with those introspective eyes and think, wtf am I doing with my time i'm a the mod of an internet forum???

Got excited by the mods part, then came in for a massive let down

im assuming most dont go out of their way to look for s*** to mod.

if, in their normal reading, they come across something worthy, then they'd nuke it

ive been doing it for years on gamearena. ive never actively looked for s*** to nuke.

what makes me wonder wtf im doing it for is when some f***** cries about some nasty guy hurting his feelings and according to said f*****, its my 'job' to immediately ban the other guy from the internet

s*** threads like this also make you wonder why one bothers

Considering the very little amount of moderation I have seen even complete f***wads receive on this forum I doubt it is much of a problem around here.

I mod a very large (80,000+ registered members) forum, it's very worthwhile though and not just random chatter, so I tend to put up with a lot of s*** from noobs.

Sunken so many hours into it though it's a bit sad :(

A real question though for trog when he gets back/Jim now: is there anyway that you can make the forums more firefox friendly? I like how it marks which threads have new posts in them since the last visit, but this obviously doesn't work with tabs. Nor does it work if you close your forums window but still have other random ones open.
