imo, the Sci-Fi TV show "7 days" had in one episode what I reckon will be the most accurate depiction:
Crazy christian gets his hands on a genetically modified lethal airborne virus stolen from a lab.
Crazy christian then goes into the flight attendants lounge at a major international airport, not caring about security catching him after he's accompished his goal.
Crazy christian smashes vial quietly into trash can in lounge.

Airborne virus does the rest.

Didn't watch the video. Even though there are dozens of theories floating around on how the world will end... it will most likely end the same way as most planets end - when their sun changes into another type of star and dramatically changes the physics of the solar system.

People won't be around by then though.
