Has anyone played this yet? I noticed today when I was in EB that its on the shelves now, and I was thinking of picking myself up a copy. I remember reading reviews of it a few months ago when it was released that basically said it was buggy as hell and not worth playing, but apparently an uber mega mega patch has just come out which fixes and adds a lot of stuff. Anyone actually playing it now who can comment?

Do you pay a subscription fee?

Yeah, $10 a month or something. But you get a month free, so I guess I could always try it for a month and then cancel it if it is ass.

I think I remember Something Awful bagging it out because it was buggy

I have two friends in the USA who RAVED about this game, until it came out, then they said it was unfinished and didn't look very good at all, they went back to playing Asherons Call and Diablo 2

I can give you their ICQ numbers if you wanna talk to them about it

Nah, I'm more interested in people who are still playing it. I know it was s***e when it came out, but I'm interested in people who've tried it recently since its been patched up to see if its worth getting now...

From what I heard about the game the servers were in the USA,so as well as being buggy as hell the game is probably laggy as hell to.

Yeah, unplayably laggy is the other thing I'm worried about, as being an action game versus an rpg, its more reliant on having a good ping (or at least, half decent ping) to be able to play properly.

it hasnt really had that much hype, which can be a good thing some times.

I don't care how good a game is if you have to pay monthly fee's I'm not interested.I can remember when I first heard about WWII online I was mega keen to have a look at it but when I saw that they wanted people to continue paying to play it I lost interest realy quick.

Add to that that you have to play it on US servers which will be f***ing laggy and that would be enough to make you think twice about ever playing it.

I think if I wanted to pay BS prices to play something and get frustrated I'll just go and play golf.

Taipan, i spose you just want them to supply the servers you play on for free then. o and the in game help support, those ppl do that, i guess you want them to do it for nothing. yeah right.

they did heaps of s*** to f*** up the game, thats why i only play on free shards now, sure you might not get the same stability, and admin friendlyness but it beats paying for a game thats full of cheaters.

but if the game was good i would pay for it, like daoc
