mrs got ours at 9:11. limit of 2 per cc for sydney so her friend on dialup that finished at 9:15 missed out.

if they are limiting it to two per CC, they should just put a name on both. and that person then has to present their license when they enter the concert.

it is unlikey that someone is going to buy two tickets and not use one of them AND not going to be going to concert with the person who uses the other.

they complain about the extra security that is then required but don't they already have security there checking bags and stuff so whats the big deal?

Ummm, there's one on eBay for AU $1,000,100.00, and that's with over 50 bids. It started at 90c or something. Now way will someone pay that.

for the sydney sale it said online only, no tickets from booths, so check that out b4 queueing away from your broadband.

One of the guys i work with bought them at 3.20am this morning form the bdo site.

They went on sale last night at midnight on the offical website and 9am on ticketmaster.

I'm staying up till midnight just in case

I think a few record stores are allocated a small stock too if you dig lining up.

Also, no teq, I'm a genuine attendee, as are the 3 other people I'm buying for. Scalpers can f*** off and die, they s*** things up for all the valid fans. IMO it should be against the law to sell an event ticket for more than you purchased it for.

I thought there were anti scalping laws, however an excuse I heard a lot was 'eBay is a bidding system', but what about those Buy It Now items at $400 a pop?

Its fine to sell them at the same price... but purchasing tickets for the sole reason of selling them again at inflated prices is wrong.

the whole name on ticket thing is bogus. Imagine the logistics of checking out 100,000 tickets in an hour. Expensive slow unworkable and would just piss people off.

I am all for market forces but for this kind of thing I agree with the talk of enacting legislation to cap eBay sales at say 120% of Ticket price.

I used Firefox with the BDO site to get tickets - no problems.

Got through about 12:05 and had secured tix 3 mins later. (Gold Coast BDO that is)
