I've got quotes from
carpet court
carpet call
andersons etc...

bearing in mind, I have a 16 month old boy and a new one on they way.

So I really only want cheap stuff until they're a bit older

Concrete.

Our lounge rumpus room was concrete, f***ing hell that was rough, so many injuries.

Andersons price matched for Dad's new carpet (put in probably 3 weeks ago), not sure where he went to get the lowest price though?

Haha tell me about it...

We have a shop just down the road from our place that sells Persian rugs. We have been here for close to a year, and the entire time he has been having a 'closing down sale'. His landlord must be fairly generous to allow him this much additional time on his lease.

dunno where they are sold, but go for industrial carpet tiles.

my parents have got them and they are great with kids around...

something gets spilled or little johnny projectile vomits everywhere or the dog craps on them, pull up the tile and hose.

works a treat - my folks have had theirs for 29 years and they still look good.

^^ we've got some of them outside, best thing is if one gets burned by your kids playing with matches, or your wife/husband/brother/drunk neighbour drops a ciggy on them you can just pull up the damaged tile and replace it rather than replacing the entire floor. I hesitated to mention the tiles because I figure they're probably a bit too expensive. Also the ones we have have rubber on the back of them and you just place them straight onto the cement with no underlay so they tend to be a bit hard if a child falls on them.

yes, but it would be a larf.

also they are nice and cool in summer and if you loooove your car they are good in the garage.
