Ok i have a dillema, I'm realy f***ing tired of my sister having to use my pc to play her god damn sims 2. The problem is that when i go and try to install it on her pc i get an error wich says "cannot transfer bla\bla\Voice08.package (or something) from the media. Would you like to retry" I click on retry, it makes it to 100% and is still trying to transfere that same file. (the file that it cannot transfer changes from time to time).

I've done a bit of research and found a few solutions people have suggested but none of them work. I've tryed a manual install, ie. Making the Disk1 Disk2 Disk3 and Disk4 folders, transfering the files off of each cd to their corrasponding folders and ran the autorun.exe and i still get the same errors. Even though the files transfered off the cd to the folders with no problems.

I've tryed renaming the InstallShield folder to InstallShieldOld wich someone said it would then have to re-install the InstallShield when i try to re-install the game, but to no avail. The only thing i havent done yet is updating the firmware on the DVD burner yet (its a pioneer 108).

The thing that confuses me the most is that i can and have installed alot of things with this same DVD burner with no problems such as Windows, drivers, applications wich tells me that its a problem with the Sims 2 CDs. But i have used the same Sims 2 CDs to install the game on my missus's pc with no problems at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i want to get her off my god damn pc whenever she wants to play sims.

Thanks, Cam.

Make a disc image with a drive that can read the disc, and copy the image to her computer, and mount it with Daemon tools?
