This leads to the question of why adverts are so s***house. I don't watch much TV so don't really know how long it's taken for ads to get this bad but the purpose of an ad is in the first few seconds to grab the audiences attention, then tell them what the product is and why they should give up their hard earned money for that product. Half the ads on tv lately you don't even know what the f*** they're even for, some of them are just plain s***, others are like a mini series that tell you a bit in this ad break, then a bit more in the next.

One ad in particular I hate is that f***ing eagle boys pizza advert. Yeah eagle boys marketing execs if you read this I'm going to avoid your s*** just because I hate your f***ing 2 second advert that comes on after EVERY GODDAM AD during a particular show I watch.

Most beer ads kick ass.

Everything else licks balls in general. Every now and then there's a gem in the rough though that that is actually funny as has some level of cleverness behind it. The yellow pages ad - robin's vet clinic is one I can think of off the top of my head.

I think the Rio add they're running at the moment is pretty funny. I'd have to say the worst ads on air atm are those KFC ultimate burger meal ones. So dumb.
