Well prolly the biggest (well not biggest but most famous) gig I've done so far was on Saturday at the Motor Neurone Disease Blue Gala thingo. I'm playing for an Elvis band that my old school band teacher hooked me up with called the Blue Cats.
We're used to local pub/hotel sort of gigs playing to the random intoxicated folk there but we scored this awesome gig at Customs House. Playing/singing were Casey Donavon, Bobby Flynn and Glen Shorrock (Little River Band - +25M albums sold from the 70s...). We got to meet all of them though I didn't meet Bobby. We were the ending gig and played for about 1 1/2 hours. Only had a few hickups and it was a pretty good gig. You can tell when u get the "ONE MORE ONE MORE!!!" from all the ppl dancing (and wasted for that matter) that ur alright haha Also Noni Hazelhurst (Better homes and gardens - play school etc) was hosting it! Probably the most famous gig I'll play for a while haha. Anywayz just thought I'd throw it out there.. I was pretty stoked at the hole thing. They even payed for our seats in the audience for dinner etc which were $140 each! Pretty ritzy gig for us.. Anyone else been part of something like this? |
