Hey,

I am the manager of an start-up contact center and we are looking for some employees for our next step in building the company.

Current work revolves around answering email and phone queries with some data processing as well. No outbound calling, all inbound. We work 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour shifts with every 2 weeks changing between Day and Grave Shift (a rotating 24/7). Also, Grave Shift and weekend work is done from home so an internet connection is a must.

As it is a starting position the offering wage is $32k.

If your after a job or know someone who is looking please send me a PM letting me know of interest and any questions you may have.

The email address to send a resume to is jeremy@ipayoptions.com

Thanks
Jeremy

Jesus christ. $32k is so hideously bad for a call centre.

I worked in different call centres for about 3.5 years. My salary never once dropped below $38k. And I didn't even finish high school. Also, I never worked in a 24/7 call centre. The latest I've ever worked until was 8pm.

If you're looking for a call centre job: Don't take this one.

^Who gives a s*** about your high horse, there will be people out there willing to work for that. If I had my own company I definitely would not want to pay someone more than 32k to a piss easy job like that.

I agree with the man with the awesome avatar. If you're looking for an entry level position, $32k isn't too bad. If you perform well and stand out, you'll either a) get a raise/promotion or b) develop enough skills/experience so you don't need to apply for an entry level position any more.

If you pay for peons you get peons.

$32k is really low for call centre work. Good luck finding employees. I hope your venture goes well.

What type of technically skills are you searching for?

Windows Desktop/Server?
Linux?
Unix?
Mac?
Networking?

Not really after technically skilled people. After people with computer skills (Windows) and having some Office skills and Customer Service experience will be an advantage.

the rate really depends on the type of call centre and the type of calls. aka the level of server actually needed to be given.

Pay is low, yes. But i would suspect that amount of productivity would roughly match that. And also, its a great way for anyone new to the game to get their way into the IT industry

ffs, if you don't want people to comment, don't post it on a forum. its not communism. people can say reply and stuff

Personally, at that money you can probably flip burgers.

An entry position is an entry position. For those trying to break into the IT industry it's a start and it's the experience that you gain from it that will move you forward and eventually make you more money. I would've gone for this if i wasn't in the great programming job that i'm currently in.

32k is quite low, but having said that, if i didnt have a job and was looking to get a good one i would prolly start with this then look for another job. you have a much better chance of getting work if you already have a job.

also as mentioned before you get what you pay for.. dont pay people much dont expect them to do much and expect a very high turn over in staff, i know where i work pays more then what is being offered but its still low, and we also have a high turn over in staff..

i find these kinds of jobs hilarious mainly because i have no idea what they actually involve and seriously imagine the contact centre as just complete randoms ringing you up and asking you random questions and you making up whatever bs reply you wanna make
I am the manager

Pity you can get paid as much as a junior tea lady. The only thing I can think of that makes this job anything better than the one hundred billion call centre jobs that have been posted in the last 12 weeks is that Jero is probably not a c*******.
