hi arseholes, hows your arsehole going for yas.
no seriously.. I'm about to get a tailor suit made from thialand (cock bangers) and i have a few questions regarding this. Basically is there anywhere i can go on the southside to get some measurements taken up? maybe google with a good diagram.. but that means i have to go buy a measuring tape of some sort, but please feel free to google for me. (arseholes) Secondly, hows your arsehole going for you? good? no seriously. What fabric should i go for.. i want the nicest feel... so cotton or wool? Thirdly, hows your mum... she good? no seriously arseholes whats a rough price i should be paying over there for a good quality suit, which i'm hoping will look like this. http://www.italsuit.com/images/P/JPR-29.jpg Your thoughts arseholes? i still want something formal i can wear to dinners but yet weddings, interviews etc... i've got 4 weddings coming up this year, so i want to look at my best for your arseholes... |

You have arseholes on your mind. Might not be a good time to go see a guy about measuring you and your inseam in a small little isolated shoppe.
And just go to David Jones and ask them to measure you, try some on, then say you have no money right now. last edited by JohnnyD at 19:37:22 10/Jun/07 |

Find a lonely planet, it will tell you where to go to get the decent ones. There's a big street with a s***load of them on it. You can get s*** cheap ones from anywhere there, but its prolly best to be in the district where you can get a few quotes within walking distance.
Just got back from there yesterday and had a suit whipped up, cost $200 AUD (5000 THB), cashmere, some other wool and cotton, feels awesome. Its hot as a f*** over there, dont do the buckets, having more than 2 of their red bulls in a day will make you feel like you've been doing meth the night before. Oh and make sure to get a sample of the suit material when they first measure you up, so you know they've used the same stuff when they've got it made up. |

I'm not the fag that couldn't handle 2 days of hearty partying splendor in the grass without having a massive meltdown and needing to run away crying.

don't get wool, it's too heavy and you'll get hot in it - particularly if it's 3-piece & u live in qld. You shouldn't get a tailored suit unless you can show up for 1 or 2 fittings - measurements normally aren't enough to get a good-fitting suit. (It's not really tailored then is it).
I paid about 14,000 baht for three 2-piece suits, 5 pants (2 suits came with 2 sets of pants) and 2 tailored shirts, which my google estimates tell me is a bees dick over $500 AUD. I got mine in Ko Samui. Make sure you ask for no pleats on the pants (pleats are out, flat is in) and get a 2 button suit (you can never go wrong with 2 button suits). It's always a good idea to get 2 pants tailored up as your jacket will always outlive your pants. Also, be prepared to replace their buttons, they skimp on the f***ing buttons. oh and another thing. Tell them which side you want your zipper on your pants. for some reason they put them on the other side, so you have to change your piss-process. I've heard this happened to a few other people. |

paid about 100 bucks for mine in phuket. I wouldn't go cheapo on thai suits as you pay for what you get. Saying that, 100 bucks is pretty cheap.

Wool == too hot, cotton you'll get more wear out of. You can get lighter wool which is great for QLD weather (I got one a SABA light wool suit from MLB of all places, works great in QLD weather). You can get good cotton suits, as long as the thread count is pretty high so it gives you a nice feel and quality of wool (and not linen..... cause it's a bitch to iron LOL).
You can get measuring tape from places like Lincraft in the city. When you're there you can even take a look at what different fabric feels like and how you like it etc. Single breasted, 2 buttons jacket are more versatile so get that style. But if you really want an old world charm, a bespoke double breasted suit can look very nice (if not a little bit preppy) if you can pull it off heh. As per Finno's advice, no pleats in your pants and also no rolled up hemline at the end of your pants, if you can help it. Get streached, tapered pants not baggy suit pants (i.e. narrowing from your waist to feet), it'd look more bespoke and less like a cheap suit. As to my mum she's fine thanks. /queer eye mode off |

I have a black, wool suit and it's bearable in summer, as long as you're not outside in the sun:O It feels amazing.
Also, 3 buttons on the jacket, not 2. You only do up 2, like the dude in the photo. |
