hey. spot the novice.
need to find the multimedia audio device for a packard bell imedia m857 s/n 2608677179 i went to packard bell web site. its not listed when trying to narrow the search down. i tried a few under the general list for "imedia" but no luck. thanks ahead if someone can grab a link for me. |

I didnt do any research but first thing comes to mind is realtek AC97.

id be dropping some ctbios on the mobo to find out chipset and google for that

I didnt do any research but first thing comes to mind is realtek AC97. thanks mate. it worked eventually. had to download a few files seperately as it asked for them during install. was a very rough install but it works as a whole now. that will do. send it back and never look at it again. |

This is why I've never bought a name brand pc. They're cool when you have the restore disc with all the drivers but lose that and you're screwed.
