www.mnsonline.com.au sometimes has some good gear come through there from ex-govt/corp. friend picked up a great dell laptop from there not long ago. looks like they only have pov class lappys on there atm though.

Note: both brands have MANUFACTURER warranties (HP 1yr, Asus 2yrs), so there is no risk of being screwed around on warranties.

Other honourable mentions for brands include Sony, Fujitsu, Toshiba and Lenovo. They're all good quality and reliable notebooks, but they tend to be on the more expensive side of things.

Yes i just a bought Asus, but i do prefer the new Toshiba's but they quite expensive.... Just remember to buy one with a fast hdd.... Because I have dell was running great now my hdd light is constantly on and my cpu levels around the 20-50% mark..
