This should make some people happy (me included). Sega has announced Virtua Fighter 2 is coming to the Wii virtual console soon, along with Alex Kidd and Wonderboy in Monsterland.

Not sure about Virtua Fighter 2. Looked like complete ass back then even though it was meant to be groundbreaking and the controls were ass as well. Alex Kidd and Wonderboy I could sit down and play again but I doubt I could bother with the fighting one.

asif vf2 controls are ass, they are the best controls in a fighting game ever

it didn't look like complete ass either, it just didn't focus on being super pretty instead of having a decent fighting engine like other wannabes at the time such as tekken

f*** yeah agreed with rev, tekken for the win.

pretty sure it's the mega drive version of virtua fighter 2 which was 2d sprite based and didn't actually have any 3d elements. sorry guys.

The version coming to Wii is for Genesis/MegaDrive which was a 2D fighter.

So those who think it sucked, are probably thinking of that.

Those who think it was great, are probably thinking of the Arcade release which was entirely different.

paveway - The arcade was Wonderboy in Monster Land. Wonderboy in Monster World is the third "Monster World" game.

That blows, with all the good Virtua Fighter versions out there, why are they porting the really s*** one?!
