yeah they're really crappy, lots of static, not very clear sound.

best way is to hook the ipod up to the head unit

Are you talking about a tuner to get FM radio on your iPod, or to get your iPod on Fm radio?

if you don't have any inputs on your headunit... they're ok...

I use one at the moment on my stock headunit... and I mean, you can tell the difference between an mp3 through the FM modulator, and from a CD, but its really not that bad.

I have a Kensington PicoFM modulator...

I have my old Belkin one somewhere... haven't used it since i bought it a few years ago. If you get a good setting it was about the same quality as playing a tape on a tapedeck.

you guys must all have crap modulators... or a crap stereo... but mine sounds like I'm listening to FM radio, mainly because I'm listening to FM radio!

I've got a Griffin one for my mini, and it works really well in the car, and on my home stereo system

mine works like s***

got it set up well, on 88.3 where there is little static, but there is still tons of interference. soo annoying, it was fine on my old one.

how much does it cost to get a headunit with aux input?? is installation tough?
