I'm not sure if it's the "best" price but games market has it for $110 k-mart or target may have it cheaper if you're lucky, or the toyworld game world in the myer center

http://www.gamesmarket.com.au/details.php?ProdID=9089

I got rid of 4 of my old xbox games and only got $40 off at EB, but I don't play them anyway and they were all either 2nd hand when I got them of $20 bargin bin specials

<3 the chain saw. Its not that great against one or two zombies, but if you charge into a massive group of zombies... holy s***! Blood everywhere.

bin playin all day. not as good as the demo gave the impression.. the missions are kinda annoying and all the submissions so far just revolve around rescuing people which is not only hard but gets annoying really quickly.
still good fun tho

Does that kent guy (the other photographer) ever follow you back to the safe spot? or does he just wander around taking photos all the time? I was trying to lead him in but he wouldn't come.

You have to take two photos of him, one of him taking a photo, the other of him posing after taking a photo ( need to zoom in ). Once that's done he'll just buggerize around and you can leave. The scoop should go away.

Does anyone else have trouble getting people to the safe zone? Especially when the convicts are out... jeesus!

Also I find myself constantly looking for weapons, I must fight too much as I break them quicker than I can find them. I'm wavering on the edge of liking/hating the game ... hopefully playing it a bit more I'll learn to play it better and it'll swing back in the favour of liking it, but right now it's pretty frustrating.

I hate the saving system, I'd rather on death you go back to the spot where you entered the area.

I'm up in the north mall right now trying to take out the psycho at the gun shop, but I need to go find something better than the pistol as I go through two full pistols and still don't kill him.

smg, theres one that respawns slowly in paradise plaza, and theres one that spawns more quickly in frizca plaza, i think thats the names of em... just stock up on em i always cary 2 atleast, they take down pyschos quickly if you've got a good enough aim.

the biggest s*** off is the fact that you have to change aim to shoot effectively and then the joysticks left joystick goes to camera when its normal the right...

the trick with weapons breaking is books, you can get some that make the durabiltiy last longer, other then that i keep zombie killing on a low when im doign scoops and cases, that way i can just store wine and weapons for when i need them. while waiting for scoops and cases is when i do my zombie killign and in those cases i pick and area and just run from the weapons that i like to food and back and forth i go till its nearly time for something to start.

Do you guys even bother trying to escort random survivors back to the safe room? they always seem to die for me so I'm wondering whether it's even worthwhile doing

I started trying to, but it was too much of a pain, I'm playing through the main story line first, once I've done that I'll replay and try and do more survivors, scoops, etc.

Best weapon in the game without a doubt is the mini-chainsaw you get from the clown psycho. However, its potential is only unlocked by getting 3 books which result in x27 usage. Criminal one from wonderland plaza and entertainment + engineering from paradise. (best gun is the spec forces one but guns are boring)

As for the gunstore guy, kill the convicts and get the gun from the humvee, then just run that thing to the gunstore and OWN the guy. :)

Man im in love with this game. The learning curve is a bit of a c***. Its really really hard sometimes and often you dont get as much time as you want to just f*** around, due to case time constraints. Once I finished the game I was alot happier with it and also finally understood not worrying about f***ing up escorts or missing scoops. It just doesnt matter becuase you can always come back on another playthrough.

Only thing I havnt been able to do so far is the heli in the park near the end of the game but I hear sniper rifles make it easier. (I was using machine gun)

yeah i just finished all teh case files and im now doing the overtime mode, overtime feels like how the game should of been, except get rid of the stupid special ops guys. i would of liked moe collecting medicine style missions plus the escort missions and less lame case files that just result in a cut scene to tell you the storyline, not that i think that makes it a bad game, overall i just enjoy being over powered guy that kills masses of zombiess with ease.

man those convicts are a prick, I'm resorting to travelling through the mall itself to get to the other side just to avoid them. I found that awesome motorized drill thing too in the construction area, it's the best weapon I've found so far, pick up one zombie with it and then spin their torso around it taking out all the other zombies, gold.

So yeah, the convicts, how the f*** do you take them out? they just pwn you with the MG before you can even get a bead on them.

Best way to get them I've found is have a shotty on hand and get behind a tree so they're reversing into it and the tree provides cover for you. then just duck out of cover blast the gunner with the shotty several times and he's dead. Then take your time and take out the other two ... or just ignore it as it's not much of a threat without the gun. also don't forget you can take the gun off the car.

The easiest way to take out the humvee is, I have found, is with an uzi. Just get their attention and hide behind a tree, they will hit the tree and get stuck. Then you just pop out and kill the gunner and once he is dead, you take that big ass gun and killing the 2 driver guys is easy. The car then wont come back until midnight the next day. It does respawn but :(

uzi is in the same place it was in the demo, as you come out of the maintenance tunnel, go right then up the stairs to where the photo guy is. half way up you can jump onto the blue ledge on the right. Then run to the end and the uzi is there

it seems to be doing it during dead rising only, i just played 30minutes of doa and another 30minutes of fifa 06 and both worked fine with out a hitch. dead rising worked fine at first i played through the whole game and then some but no it just locks up after 10-15minutes of gameplay, at first i just thought that maybe the overtime mode was abit buggy, but since its locked up on my saving game and ive had to start again its locking up even more.... the disc is perfect not a scratch on it, the only time its been out of teh machine was when i just played those 2 other games...

ponderous

have you put it back in and tried again after you played doa and fifa? I have a faint recollection about some cache thing with the 360 and you cleared it by putting in some other games, or somethin

yeah just been reading the xbox website and there are a heap of things to check and do, so im gonna give all the suggestions are try and see what happens, a few other websites are saying that it uses more then 2 of the cores thus alot more heating issues and freezing, but im not getting the red ring nor has it been hot or has the console felt hot so i doubt its heating.

id also like to point out that dead rising has a few downloads for free on xbox live, a few outfits which you can put on from the security room, nothing flash but still nice to see some free updates.

I'm so f***ing pissed off now ... I did the carlito bomb mission, headed back to base to get the butcher mission and saved it. I must have taken a bit long to do the bomb mission having to run half of it after the van dying and I can only *just* get to the butcher in time. By the time I've killed him I'm left without enough time to then get back to carlito's base. I just can't get there, I run out, get in the van, drive like a f***er, get out, climb the stairs and come out somewhere, I think it's wonderland plaza but right as I appear there I lose it and game over.

f***! stupid f***ing game.

this game has been reported to make 360s run hot. might be why its crashing. play with a fan on it maybe lol??

it is pretty bad that there are 3rd party cooling solutions for the 360. and im not bashing it in anyway, i own one myself, but Microsoft really f***ed up on testing these things. Game consoles have never had so many problems.

yeah ive read about those, i just dont see the point in buying a third party cooling solution for something that should would with out it if you know what i mean, consoles arent computers as much as they like to act like them. but ive heard good thigns about the xbox repair centre and that the service is pretty darn good, so im going to ring the support line tomorrow night and send my console away to get repaired, apparently only takes about a week and i think thats pretty good.

Yeah the save thing is a c***, I just finished the medicine mission in the supermarket, took the medicine all the way back, hand it to the chick and it says "next scoop at 11am" or some s***, then it comes up and shows all the forthcoming missions as "expired" so basically I can't finish it now.

Though you can save it after you die so that when you restart you have all the player stats you had when you died

haha yeah the save system is gaybars. You have to watch the mission bar cause if you don't do it in time, you can still do it, but not continue along with the case.

looks like dead rising is going to be shelved until I can find a cheat to reverse time ... like f*** I'm gonna play through the whole game again ... it wouldn't be so bad except you've got to kill all that time between missions.

Anyone else got any good places for weapons/items? I found that uzi, took down a ton of those freaks in the yellow raincoats with it easy.

That huge drill weapon is on top of one of the catwalks in the under construction area, near the supermarket

katana, from sword store in north plaza, antic store in entrace plaza and on the green tent hood in paradise plaza *can be obtained from going to the juice bar and jumping over the edge*, there is also a battle axe in the antic store in the entrace plaza, and in teh sword store in the north plaza there is big ass sword.

shot guns are great for cleary your way through a big crowd, the car and motorbike are fun for driving around the carpark tunnel thingo.

i always carry on me a 2 katanas an uzzi 2 shot guns and the rest of my inventory is filled up with juice or wine.

uzzi i keep for killing pyschos, katana i use on them too if i can get close enough, shot guns are okish on pyschos but uzi is of course the better choice. chainsaws and scythes in the hardware store are great, as are the hedge clippers.

hunting knives are good and easy to come buy. outdoor umbrellas are great for clearing through a crowd at night.

im sure ive missed some.

best weapon in the game hands down is the mini-chainsaw you get from killing the clown pyscho (psycho weapons respawn... eg. trolley in supermarket, machete in hardware etc) and 3 books to make it last x27 longer. The books are Engineering and Entertainment from the big bookstore in Paradise Plaza and the criminal biography (I think) book which is in a store in Wonderland.

The thing owns.

Most fun is the hand to hand stuff but. You dont get any of the cool ones till 30+ but they get amazing. Picking zombies up by the feet and spinning aorund like a copter, running up behind them and slamming their face into the ground... etc Disembowl is gonna be awesome but its probably on thel ast level or something :(

called the xbox support line and told the guy what was happening (the locks up while playing games) and he sounded like it happens all the time (but he didnt say it but it certainly was in his tone of voice) he told me i have to send it reply paid to sydney to get it fixed, and they will courier it back, has a 10day turn around and generally gets fixed within only a week so im like wickid, off it goes tomorrow.
