hey i am geting new system

and i was wondering if i should get two one gig sticks of kingmax 4300

or 2x one gig sticks of pqi turbo or just the normal pqi

kingmax and pqi turbo are $280 and the normal pqi sticks are $225

do i need to go the extra or what.?? it will be going in new pentium d 3ghz 2x2mb

I like kingmax better cos it has a cool name but then again turbo is also cool. If you get both of them then you will have spare RAM... so if something happens to the RAM sticks you are using, you can swap with the other ones.

yeah i got geil RAM now 2x512mb runns heap well but ithink DDRII Geil RAM is 2Gig is out my price range

How bout when your kingmax either dies or is incompatible with your mobo? can you afford it then? :P

Shell out the extra cash, youll get good quality and good performance.

Get 2 x generic 1gig sticks. Cheap and you cant go wrong.

Yes you can go wrong. Cheap generics often don't mix well if you add a stick later.

It pays to spend a little extra for more stability.

yeah just went with DDR2 1024MB TWIN2X 1024-5400C4 RAM Corsair (2X512MB)

can always get more latter.. thx peoples

corsair are overrated. giel you never know what you're getting half the time and once again overrated. ocz however are good. mostly on the expensive end.
