i did a similar thing, but went the dell 24" widescreen for the main screen. kept the the 17" as well as i do a lot of remote sessions for work, alot
easier having bith screens active. anyways, gloss vs no gloss? the gloss is the glass/mirror like finish good tv's and high end laptops have. Very nice picture and somehow makes it look better. only thing to consider is the environment i.e. the reflective surface makes glare a bugger if theres sun and what not. |

one other thing to make sure if screen resolution support. i have the 6600gt, 17" on vga and 24" on dvi. 24" runs nativ 1920x1200, but when u enable the 17", it frigs the resolution, wont do dvi at 1920x1200 and 1280x1024 on the vga, not sure if its a card limitation or just what is.

^indeed. the 24" rocks hard. its huge, its got a gorgeous picture and even better i got in early enough for the $1300 deal. including shipping :)
edit: i love all the shizzal it comes with, built in usb hub, media card hub, heaps of diff connections including RGB fantastic for TV, twin pcs, wireless cameras etc, the picture-inpicture and side-by-side come in really handy while doing other shizzal last edited by Fuknukle at 23:01:51 07/Feb/06 |
