Well i went to the states over christmas and i picked up a Gameboy Micro.
If you want to get some handheld gaming action but can't afford a psp then take a look at the micro. It plays all GBA games, which are pretty cheap, and the selection is huge. Though the screen is small, it has a backlight and you can play for hours on the internal battery. i picked up Zelda: Minish Cap Mario Bros 3 Mario Tennis: power tour Gunstar Heroes Advance Wars 2: Black hole rising its pretty easy to get your hands on the top games. anyone who has any ol' gba games they don't want i might buy them off you. Boxhead? |

I'd recommend picking up:
Super Ghoul & Ghosts Super Bomberman Metroid Fusion Metroid Zero Mission Zelda - A link to the past Kuru Kuru Kururin Super Street Fighter 2 Those are ones that come to mind at least. I'll probably pick mario kart advance and minish cap at some point as well but im busy with Mario Kart DS atm. |

If you have a little bit of extra space, I would probably go with the DS simply because you can still play GBA games, but DS games as well (obviously).
There are quite a few decent DS games now, it's well worth picking up. My favourites atm are Mario Kart and Meteos (still) and I'm really looking forward to Mario and Luigi |

Thats not to say that the Micro isn't a damn sexy little system. It just has no real use for people with a DS other than somthing that will fit on your keyring.

If I recall correctly, it's like $140 for a Gameboy Micro, but like $199 for a DS + Mario Kart.
I mean really, why not pay the extra $50? The DS will play advance games too. |

the only reason i havnt bought a DS already is cuz the only game i'm interested in is World Of Mana, which i doubt would even see a australian release this year. beyond that, if i wanna play GBA games ill just emulate them. if your into buying your games though pick up the ones nailbomb said. all great. and if you like RPGs get Sword Of Mana. oh and psp is getting some kick ass games soon too which im looking foward to. Breath Of Fire 3, Mega Man Mavrick Hunter X, Monster Hunter Portable and Tales Of Eternia.
