Family double header - cosmic gate 5 hour set tomorrow night, and pete tong on new years eve, whos going? im going to try and make both, havent seen cosmic gate since feb last year, and they only did a 2 hour set and missed out fire wire and f***ed up exploration of space :( so im hoping for good things tomorrow night!

and got the new years eve tickets to family for pete tong, which should be a massive night! whos going?

not me matey, having a do at my place, as i cant face the hassles of going out for new years

saw pete tong with tiesto last time he was here, and tong was the pick of the nite, tiesto was super boring (which was a shame, coz he totally pwned summerfield dayz when he was out here last)

im going to listen to fatboy at bondi on the jjjs at 12 for my music fix

its a poor substitute for being there, but ill just have to make do

shame fatboy didnt hang around to play the bdo

didnt get to see tiesto at family due to incidents on the night.

so my missus to be (at the time) worked with the girlfriend of the owner of family, and she guaranteed that me and the missus-to-be could get in for free on the door.

she ended up taking a nap that started that afternoon, and went through till the next morning, and as such we didnt get to see them :( So instead i got dragged upstairs at the beat to meet some friends and that was an interesting experience to say the least.

the packed family is gonna s*** me off for nye im certain, but with cosmic gate the ngiht before, at least that will rock :p nye could be good, so we'll see

ME ME ME... cosmic gate should be goood as... got pete tong tix for christmas so its going to be a huuge weekend.

Saw cosmic gate when they did the Hard NRG 7 tour and they f***ing rock. Cant wait for tonight. see you guys there.

Meh over all. Cosmic gates set was a bit lacking excitment. I've never heard Baby G f*** up as much as he did, which was a dissapointment as he normaly nails the crowd. Cosmic gate didn't have the flair he had last time, Good to hear some classic like exploration of space and firewire.

I was there....Cosmic gates set was s*** up till 4am.
Was about to leave at 4am, and then they dropped Exploration of Space, to which i went off to. Then 2 songs later they did a mix-up of both Firewire and Welcome to the Cosmic Gate which had me guessing. That was f***ing wicked!
I just wish i could have slept up until 4am....then gone back to sleep at 5am. Tried to sleep today but its too f***ing hot and i have to work soon :'(

awesome night overall, yeah cosmic was a bit iffy to begin with, took their time with buildup, and played a lot of fusions of different songs so it was always like a tease (ie, a sample from exploration, or a sample from welcome the drums), but yeah, exploration of space and firewire made the night for me, the first two songs that got me into cosmic gate in the first place.

our friend went up to have a chat to baby gee to see if they could get fire wire played (it was about 3:30 at this stage) and after conferring, they didnt want to originally as they thought that exploration of space was a bigger song in australia than fire wire.

Three requests later, finally it got played :p

daisy and i had an awesome time and was good meeting you fade, also the 2 lurkers that apparently dont post, you know who you are, and to jigz and supreme for making an awesome night yet again :p (sifnt come out tonight)

i might make an appearance tonight... that is if i can muster up the energy to fight the crowds...

i spent NYD down at coogee beach, and went for a beer at the beachside palace and to my surprise pete tong was playing upstairs there (2pm till midnight)!

i would have def gone and paid whatever they were askin but gf and friends were cranky from hangover + 45 degree heatwave, so we just went back into the surf.
