OK I got a $30 gift voucher for Eb for christmas which I was gonna use to get half life 2 I went to Browns Plains eb to see if they have it but wasn't in stock. So I rang up Redbank Indro and Mt Ommaney to see and they didnt have it aswell it wasn't until I rang Indro they acctualy told me it was being re-released by EA games or some s***. anyone know if this is true or what?

Dicksmith sells Halflife 2 for $46.

I picked one up the other day. Your gift voucher would be better used for something else.

Yep, they're still selling it for $46. All copies still sealed.

It'd be cheaper than spending $50-60 of your own money on top of the EB gift voucher, assuming you were to even find an EB that has it (I visited 2 EBs before giving up).

I think you missed the point where he has to spend his own $50-60 on top of the gift certificate to be able to buy from EB (because EB is expensive), hence it's cheaper to buy somewhere else that doesn't require him to spend so much of his own money.

EB will match the price of Dick smith, so he wont have to pay 50~60 only about 17
