It has a hot chick, and it isn't the only show on tv with at least one so that is a goddamn f***ing lame argument.

Season 2 hasn't actually ended yet, its just on summer break, its only halfway through :)

And sif only two good episodes, the whole season so far has been f***ing awesome! Although I wish they'd just throw Tigh's wife out of an airlock already, shes starting to get really, really annoying.

I love Battlestar Galactica. Can't wait till the next episode, so evil to leave a cliffhanger like that for so long. I wish Apollo and Starbuck would get together already. The president needs to die faster imo, she is so annoying. Oh and Odama is probably a cylon.

Edit: lol amen to that drunk guy's wife dying as well

Hey Khel, you sound like you've watched too much DS9 :)
Oh and Odama is probably a cylon

This was already established when a Cylon told the president that "Adama is a Cylon". You don't know which Adama though!

I thought the show was very ordinary. I give it 1 star for the blonde chick with the big tits.

I thought it wasnt a given? as they are meant to lie etc. Just something to make you wonder if its true. The episodes seem very hit and miss with the quality. The doctor/vice president and his whole plotline just makes me shudder.

This and Rome made my normal torrent viewing, along with firefly which I missed until I saw serenity. Need something new damnit!

So what happened after season 1 ended? What was that planet they were on?

I'm gonna have to start grabbing season 2 I think.

Because the cylon wouldn't lie to cause suspicion within the ranks of the survivors...

I don't think you can call it "established". In fact i think it would be considered more wacky theory until we get more evidence supporting it.

They knew what planet it was(at least in principle) before the end of season 1. It is Kobol, birthplace of the tribes of man or something. Basically the prophecy says that if they bring the arrow of apollo to a certain place in kobol they can find earth.

He didn't specify which Adama, so I took it as a significant comment.

Has anyone watched the latest ep? It's the last one for Series 2.

Wow .. is all I can say. Seemed a bit rushed?

Apparently there's a wait till October until Season 3 starts. Long time!

I really enjoyed the last episode - probably because I really enjoyed the political side of it as well. If you didn't like that portion of the story then you probably would have disliked the episode somewhat. I thought it was a great ending it a season, and I'm looking forward to the next season!!

As far as the long wait goes....I would prefer to have a 6 month wait at the end of the season, then stop and start constantly for a year like most other American Shows....I really like what Fox decided to do with 24 - and I think BSG is going to be shown more like 24..just with a break over Xmas probably.

What are you the download police?

b-grade sci fi is a genre i like, so i get it in the hopes it will get better... which it does about 1 in every 3-4 eps.
Not like there is a lot else out there in this genre (spacey-sci-fi).

Yeh, awesome show. I never watched the original series so have no idea how it compares but I am really digging it - its nice to see a solid sci-fi series that isn't just another fork of Star Trek or as lame as Firefly (yeh, I said it).

Season two really petered out. Towards the end of season 2 there's no direction, just a bunch of disconnected episodes. I've yet to watch the final ep, though.

Damn..
Been waiting to see what they do with the Boltar character more than anything (after being an old schooler who watched the originals)
I have to admit I like the humanised cylon synopsis yet I'm thinking I don't like the 12 month jump ...

this sums up my watching of battlestar too. The first few episodes I enjoyed and it's just degenerated so much I hate it while I watch it, yet still watch it as soon as its out in some wierd hope that it picks up.

Saying Battlestar is better than Firefly, is like saying you prefer A Country Practice to The Office. Although old Esmey sure did give us a few laughs.

I'm not sure I liked the final episode of bsg season 2 :( It had a good start, but it seemed to waffle on for ages while the plot faded.

Don't you mean VOIP, Bathy? You goose... learn to type ;-)

And for the poster who said isn't BSG just for Galactica and shouldn't be on Pegasus - I'm guessing they adopted the American style three letter acronym for ships from the Navy - eg a submarine being SSN and a frigate being FFG. Coupled with the number it does fit so Galactica is BSG 75 and Pegasus is BSG 63.

Good ending to season 2, I didn't expect to see the direction the plot went in for the finale. If it were Trek I'd expect a huge reset button at the season 3 premiere but with Ron Moore at the helm I'm sure he'll come up with something awesome.

ok but what if 2 ships had the same first letter.
and i thought there was only 12 battlestars (one for each planet) if so where does the 75 and 63 come from? or am i just an idiot? (dont answer that)

Watched the last ep earlier, and I still stand by what I said.

It ended a bit weak (what with the whole skip ahead 1 year and stuff afterwards). What ever happened to earth ? Wasn't that part of the climax for season 1 ? So they've mentioned it what, twice now in season 2 ?

Older models maybe? Remember they had newer model vipers that died in the arse when the 12 colonies were invaded. Maybe they had other Battlestar's that were replacing the older models, which of course were all destroyed. Just my theory.

IIRC BSG stands for BattleStar Group. So, so BSG-75 is the Glactica BattleStar Group.

BSG == Battlestar Group

A Battlestar Group is a Colonial Fleet unit lead by at least one battlestar. On ship crests, badges, and documents it is often abbreviated as "BSG".

Battlestar Groups are seen by Ronald D. Moore as analagous to a modern-day Carrier Battle Group, comprising at least one battlestar, plus a number of support vessels [1]. Given the number of available battlestars at the outbreak of hostilities with the Cylon attack, it is possible that a battlestar group may have comprised a number (3-4) battlestars operating as a single unit, supported by additional Colonial vessels.

And ...

Following the end of the Cylon War, the original battlestars remained in service, and other battlestars were built. Their numbers steadily increased to a grand total of 120 ships in the Colonial Fleet.

Remember Ron Moore was Trek for a while :P

But only the good Trek - some TNG, DS9, early Voyager - before he got out and dumped a bucket on Berman and Braga.
From what I've seen he's doing an awesome job on BSG (abbreviation!) and as long as he's at the helm I'll be watching.
