hey fellas im new to the whole computer making thing and i just bought an alright comp to build off its a celeron 1.7 256mb sd ddrram and only a 18.6 gig hdd for 250 bucks and im gunna buy a new graphics card but my comps only got pci slots.... so can u tell me whats the best pci combatible (not PCIe) card under 200 bucks out there? and whats a good online store to buy cheap hardware :D much apreciated

i think you need at least an agp card these days... and at least a 2800xp gig AMD system or something minimum..

Sorry mate, they're right, not worth spending money on. The best PCI vid card you'll find is an FX5200 (~$90), and that wouldn't run a modern game at even close to playable speeds no matter how far you turn the settings down. I've got one; it's about half the speed of the AGP version (which I also have), and it was obsolete years ago. Unless the only games you want to play are Quake 3 and older, or all you want to do is homework/office work, web browsing and watching movies, you'll need to look at a better base system.
