just wondering if at the lan there would be an irc server or something of the kind to announce some non standard games , eg. like Land Warrior
or the such , to announce that there is gonna be a server up and so forth..

No what i said was have a local irc channel to announce games that r going on , not the dedicated ones but other games.
its will be hard to inform 300 ppl that a game of such an dsuch a game is starting
and wondering if they want to join.

the irc server would ge good to find patches and the like for games, instead of searching through ppls HD's , just jump on irc and find some one willing to give it to u
