I haven't been this addicted to a game in a looooong time. Unfortunately even though I bought RTCW when it came out I never got in to online play after the demo, so I'm making up for it.
I usually play on iHug or Pacnet as an Engineer.

The Good
  • It's free!
  • Q3 engine
  • Real teamplay
  • Fast-paced, highly skilled action
  • So many things to do on each map and different ways to play the game
  • In general the people who play are fairly competent
  • It rocks my world, if you've never played it definitely check it out

The Bad
  • Tards who file a complaint when they walk over your mine that is clearly marked
  • Tards who plant 10 mines in one spot that the enemy won't even go near until the end of the round, preventing you from using mines out in the map where you can hinder the enemy advance
  • Tards who stand in doorways
  • Tards who do one of the above and have the audacity to call me a newb when I attempt to educate them
  • RTFM FFS
  • Getting a bit sick of the same six maps

The only complaints I really have are with the occasional sK players, the game itself is flawless.

Don't uninstall tox. Reinstall. This game is goin'!

I couldn't agree more dais. For a free game, I can't get enough.

By the way, how many people here have a clan registered in the GA ladder? Should be a good bit o' fun.

No, you don't. All you have to do is download the FREE Enemy Territory install. And then play.

yer im addicted too :)

i play as an engineer generally, mostly in the GA 6-map server. GA servers are win :)

there are some shocking n00b's in it, but the overall fun of the game override's there stupidity.

I reckon the gold is when you play as axis and get sick of people going in through the backdoor on the beach map and next time the map is on you camp inside with an mg42. It's worth waiting to mow down 4 allies in one burst who all expected to just cruise in with their disguised CO, then keep going and block them from getting through the door for the rest of the map :)
