In their Bright Wisdom UBISOFT have delayed release of the anticipated Lock on Modern Air combat Demo Till October 2003. A Petition has been started.

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?lomac&1

A Rather poor PR decision Imo, A lot of people have cancelled their orders. The Game was first planned for a Late 2001 Release.

Oh, call a wahmbulance already.

I'm sure the whole massive four weeks will be used to remove any bugs that you'd complain about if it was released now.

I don't get it; what's the big deal? They're still releasing the demo? Or is the full game now coming out before the demo is released?

sprayandwipe,

If you actually looked around, it was made by marketing, so they could draw in the maximum ammount of money. The Demo is finished and the developers were trying to release this week. Read the lomac forums before you post your bulls***.

They pulled the full release back to Winter 2003, The developers said they wished to release the demo this week or next, but Ubisoft have decided that wasn't good. The Demo is finished.

I had a comment here, but I removed it since it was too condescending.

Consider yourself lucky you didn't get a lecture in the nitty-gritty details of how game demos are released.

Nah trog Ubi soft's slant on this is they want to release the demo in conjunction with the game appearing on CD on computer mags worldwide.

well, much as a few people may whinge about it, it does make sense in a marketing way, and is probably a good play. don't forget, they ARE in the business to make money. and if holding back 4 weeks is more productive, have a cry, cuz they'll do it
